Dear Colleague,

We’re back! Please join me this Fall for our Annual District Meeting (ADM) once again in the wonderful city of Manhattan! This is my first ADM as Chair of District II and I look forward to sharing our NEW two-days, two-ways interactive meeting format with hundreds of colleagues.

With our theme, Our Evolving Specialty, Caring for our Patients and Ourselves, attendees will be provided the knowledge, techniques and best practices to help care for their patients. Additionally, they will learn about specific tools and techniques to care for themselves through our physician wellness lectures and workshop, all of which will also help greatly in assisting them to continue to provide superior, state of the art, quality and safe care to their patients.

This year at the Grand Hyatt, attendees will experience concurrent sessions; learn through interactive, engaging debates, panels and discussions; and connect with faculty through targeted networking opportunities. Our Adopt a Junior Fellow Initiative will continue, with Junior Fellow research contests, mentorship recognition and roundtable discussions. Please join us in supporting these exciting activities.

I am grateful to the District II Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committee for developing such an excellent program featuring critically acclaimed faculty from across the country. Our Scientific Program Co-Chairs, Loralei L. Thornburg, MD, FACOG and Erika Banks, MD, FACOG, are to be commended for their academic guidance, leadership and commitment to excellence.

This is also a great opportunity to enjoy NYC, which is rated amongst the top tourist destinations in the world! You can enjoy a Broadway show, indulge in fine dining, explore a museum, or shop in many of the ethnically and demographically diverse and unique shopping venues. You can build your own experience to best meet your needs.

Accepting the position of District II Chair is one of the great honors of my career. I look forward to working with all of our District II staff and dedicated members to build upon our past successes and work to advance women’s health in New York State. I very much look forward to seeing you this October in Manhattan and am certain that you will greatly enjoy the very exciting program that has been created for you.

Sincerely,

IFFATH ABBASI HOSKINS, MD, FACOGChair, ACOG District II
