a heart-healthy lifestyle. I hope youfind the information below helpful inyour everyday lives.
Visit your doctor on a regular basis.Monitor your blood pressure andcholesterol levels.
Maintain a healthy weight. Keepyour body mass index (BMI) levelunder 25. BMI levels above 25 areassociated with an increased risk ofdeveloping heart disease. Your BMIlevel is determined by using a formulathat includes a person’s weightand height.
Here is a list of heart-healthy foods:salmon, oatmeal, tuna, carrots, spinach, broccoli, sweet potatoes, asparagus, oranges, tomatoes, cantaloupe, and tea. All of these foodscan be found on the menu atAmerican House.
Limit your salt and saturated fatintake. American House offers manyheart-healthy food choices on ourmenu; just look for the picture ofthe heart.
Stay active. Try to do some form ofphysical activity 30 minutes every day. This is also a great way to managestress!
American House offers many waysto live a heart-healthy lifestyle.
