    These cartridges are intended to engageground and air targets by firing from30mm 2A42 and 2A72 automatic gunsinstalled on combat vehicles of groundand airborne forces (BMP-2, BMP-3,BMD-2, BMD-3, Rys reconnaissance vehi-cle), helicopters (Ka-50, Mi-28) and alsofrom the 2A38 automatic gun of the2K22M Tunguska gun-missile air defensesystem (except APDS and APT rounds).The ammunition design ensures highoperational characteristics of the gunsystems owing to reliable functioning,all-weather capability and high lethali-ty.The 30mm cartridges are provided withthe following projectiles:- HE incendiary (HEI)*;- HE incendiary tracer (HEIT);- armor-piercing tracer (APT) and armor-piercing (AP);- armor-piercing discarding sabot(APDS).

    This round is intended for firing from theAGS-17 and AGS-30 automatic grenadelaunchers to engage manpower and warmateriel.The grenade launcher is used to armmotorized rifle units. It can also beinstalled on helicopters, motor boatsand vehicles.The grenade launcher is designed for flatand curved fire.The round is provided with an instanta-neous point fuze ensuring reliable func-tioning of grenades on impact, includingwith snow and water surfaces.The enhanced fragmentation is obtainedowing to weakened grooves on the inter-nal surface of the grenade body.

    These rounds are intended for flat orcurved firing from the GP-25 and GP-30underbarrel grenade launchers used with7.62 and 5.45mm Kalashnikov assaultrifles (AKM, AKMS, AK-74, AKS-74) toengage manpower and combat materiel(motor vehicles, launchers, radars, etc.).The design ensures high performance ofrounds owing to their reliable function-ing, all-weather capability and highlethality.Two types of grenades are used:- VOG-25 fragmentation grenade;- VOG-25P bouncing fragmentationgrenade which explodes at a height of0.5 to 1.5 m from the ground surface.The grenades are fitted with fuze assem-blies incorporating arming delay andself-destruction mechanisms.The grenades are prefragmented.
