ThananiAl Zorah, Ajman

An Arabic non-alcoholic tapas bar set on the top floor of the Al Zorah building in Ajman. The concept of the brand comprises of pairing a food with a complimenting drink.

Interiors follow a minimal approach to allow the greenery of the location to ooze into the space. Live kitchen and bar counter are the main features of the restaurant. Interior language consists of simple, linear elements using a neutral colour pallette with pops of bronze through the space to add a punch within the simplistic surroundings.

GoldvilleConcept

A twist to American Diners. Inspired by Googie design- which was popular in America in 1950’s, the design language replicates aspects that were seen in this era of design. Boomerang shapes, curves and stream lined shapes along with retro props and jukeboxes to really step back into the 50’s avoiding the cliche diners that we have seen enough of.

ZafferanoConcept

An Emirati/Italian fusion restaurant aimed at university students. The idea was to create a comfortable environment for university students to enjoy their coffee/food and also be able to complete assignments in a lively space.

Interiors comprise of soft furnishing to provide comfort and also feature local student artist work on their walls to encourage students visiting the space. Ceiling feature is inspired from the dunes of the Emirates while juxtaposition of different material finishes on the counter front represent the fusion of Emirates and Italian culture.

Eleven 11Ajman

A luxurious Italian coffee shop located near Ajman University.

Interiors reflect luxury and the love of coffee. The dark brown and gold colour palette is a reflection of both aspects. The main feature of the space is the central ceiling which represents the brand pattern and creates a zone that celebrates the counter where coffee is made and served from.

LocavoreConcept

A modern artisan bakery concept, where food is made with love.

Interiors represent the bakery aspect of the brand by using rustic materials and use brand colours as pops of colour within the space. Retail is a strong aspect so retail shelving takes over most of the entrance of the space. Freshness is brought through interiors by using herb walls which are eventually incorporated in the food as well. Space caters to working professionals with longer dwell time as well as time-poor professionals who want to grab and go.

ZiryabConcept

An Iraqi restaurant inspired by the great Ziryab- he was a poet, musicican, architect and mathmetician in Iraq and bought about significant changes in all these aspects during his time.

The interiors are inspired by his influences to the Arab world and are accented by features specific to Arab architecture. Furniture is kept simple to enhance the presence of ornate features throughout the rest of the space.

Alexander McQueenConcept/ University Project

A conceptual retail store for Alexander McQueen. Capturing the essence of the brand were 2 conceptual words- unconventional & uncomfortable- as the brand would stand for unusual trends which could generally make others uncomfortable.

The uncomfortable aspect was carried forward by creating a space in which people would constantly feel a change of scale due to change in ceiling heights from double height to low or wide to narrow. This occurs as a journey while displaying brand products through the interior.
