AN ENCORE LEARNING SPECIAL EVENT Contemporary Art Collection National Gallery of Art’s Newly Renovated East Wing Monday, 12/12/16 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Registration is required; this event is free to 25 Encore Learning members who register in advance. Visit the National Gallery of Art’s reopened East Wing The NGA’s Contemporary Art Collection, which was in hiding during the three years of renovations, is expanded to include many works from the Corcoran Museum, as well as a collection of German Expressionist Art on view for the first time. This docentled tour will emphasize galleries featuring early to mid 20th century art. Afterwards, enjoy a selfguided audio tour. Additionally, there are two gallery cafes available for lunch. National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., is located on Constitution Avenue, between 4th and 7th Street NW. There’s limited metered parking. Highly recommended: Use Metro. It’s a short walk using Metro’s Archives Station (Yellow and Green lines). Participants are to meet at the Information Desk inside the 4th Street entrance to the East Wing. A waitlist will be maintained and all registrants will be contacted by Encore Learning via email at least one week prior to the event.
