    • Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, drew

    a square

    • and in the middle he drew a line which poked out the end.

    • Across the middle line he drew some smaller lines.

    • The Prophet said, “This is man and the square surrounding him is death. The middle

line is his hopes and the smaller lines are his troubles. If this one misses him, another

will distress him. If that one misses him, another will distress him.”

who say, when afflicted with a calamity,

    ‘We belong to Allah

and to Him we shall return.’

These will be given blessings and mercy from their Lord, and it is they

    who are

    rightly guided.

  • OUR PROPHET ONCE SAID…

    • People will soon summon one another to attack you as people when

eating invite others to share their food.

    • Someone asked, Will that be because of our small numbers at that

    time?

    • He replied, No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be froth

and scum like that carried down by a torrent (of water), and Allah will

take the fear of you from the hearts of your enemy and cast al-wahninto your hearts. Someone asked,

    • O Messenger of Allah, what is al-wahn?

  • WAHN?

    • (Our Prophet) replied,

    •Love of the world

    •and dislike of death.

    • [An authentic hadith recorded by Abu Dawud and Ahmad]

  • • Aisha reported: She asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and

blessings be upon him, about plagues and he said,

    • “It is a punishment that Allah sends upon whoever he

wills, but Allah has made it a mercy for the believers.

    • Any servant who resides in a land afflicted by plague, remaining

patient and hoping for reward from Allah, knowing that nothing will

befall him but what Allah has decreed, he will be given the reward of a

    martyr.”
