Kia ora, we are
we are a social innovation lab focused on
100% of young Kiwis flourishing by 2050
Lifehack takes a design-centric approach that blends together innovation processes, startup principles, the latest wellbeing research,
socio-cultural tech trends and elements of Te Āo Māori.
We convene a broad range of skill sets, from PhD researchers to biomedical engineers, musicians to mobile developers, community
activators to user experience designers.

Why Wellbeing?
You are more creative when happy, you are more productive, you are more likely to be socially inclusive; you also make more remote connections, learn more skills and accumulate more resources for the future when you are experiencing positive emotions.
What this means is that the large, pervasive social problems yet to be solved are much more likely to tackled by a community of people who are flourishing - feeling good and functioning well.
This is what we need in New Zealand, and nothing less than ‘flourishing’ will do.
Carsten Grimm, Lifehack Mentor

people’s lives
… their happiness, their families, loved ones and communities. We’re talking about the potential for us all to contribute to
a better world

This work needs more than psychologists.

Makers. Policy Analysts. Neuroscientists. Middle Managers. Early Childhood Educators. Entrepreneurs. Biologists. Architects. Town planners. Conservation Rangers. IT Developers. Physios. Product Manufacturers. Researchers.
In my mind, most of all Designers.
