Airports
More passengers, More problems
Building ever larger airports will be increasingly
difficult, if not impossible.
The industry needs to implement automation, efficient processes and use data to handle this growth.
Passenger processing efficiency
Vision: a paperless future where your face is all you need to travel around the world safely and securely while your personal data is protected.
A collaborative identity
management solution
spanning across all stakeholders using biometric
recognition
> Pax data is collected, admissibility is validated, and identity is confirmed.
BenefitsSeamless
• Improve passenger experience by eliminating repetitive processes
Efficient• Opportunities to defer or avoid
infrastructure expansion by Improving productivity, capacity
Secure• Enhance security by utilizing passenger
information shared in advance

Seamless Trans-Tasman Air Travel 2019
• Following the One ID workshop in Sydney, a sub-group was created to develop a White Paper on a seamless Trans-Tasman air travel process.
• The sub-group comprises Qantas Airways, Air New Zealand, Sydney Airport, Auckland Airport and Immigration and Customs representatives of the two countries.
• The White Paper is to look at opportunities and challenges in achieving a One ID process between AU and NZ by reviewing the current processes and defining to-be processes.
• IATA is facilitating and coordinating the group efforts; The aim is to complete the Paper by end of this year.
• Trust & Collaboration: Public-Private partnerships
• Standards & recommended practices for harmonization
