Mersen is a worldwide recognized designer and manufacturer of pressure vessels and columns made out various materials ranging from carbon steel, stainless steel and nickel alloys up to sophisticated anticorrosive solutions such as titanium, zirconium and tantalum.

Decades of experience allow Mersen to provide any design including solid, lined and cladded construction. Since 2006, Mersen has success-fully developed its own patented and cost-effec-tive Clad technology patented as CL-Clad®.Mersen masters all available welding processes such: GTAW, GMAW, SAW, PAW, FCAW, SMAW.Mersen’s engineering capabilities comply with international standards such as: ASME, AS ADM, JIS, CODAP, RTOD or RCCM for the nu-clear field.Pressure vessels and columns are also fully in accordance with international certifications: ASME U stamp, PED, ISO 9001, ISO14001, OH-SAS 18001, SELO, KGS, GOST-R, HAF 601.

For decades, Mersen has designed and manufactured a very comprehensive portfolio of heat exchangers whatever the tech-nologies and the materials. It has been recognized as the expert in thermal and mechanical design for all the different types of heat exchangers (condenser, evaporator, reboiler…) with high-performance design tools for calculation of thermal efficiency.

All the heat exchangers Mersen manufac-tures comply with international certifica-tions: TEMA, ASME, AS ADM, JIS, CO-DAP, RtOD, RCCM for the nuclear field.

Mixers are key equipment for most chemical engineering pro-cesses. For more than 50 years, Mersen has designed and ma-nufactured mixers for numerous applications to comply with specific customer needs.

Mixers are composed of a mechanical part called the head and an hydraulic part called the impeller which is the core of the mixer. The design of the impeller is the key to ensure the most cost-effective process.

Mersen has been developing impellers and various head constructions for years to efficiently cope with most processes and to ensure extended reliability of the mixers. Mixers can be combined with reactors to compose a turnkey skid.

Mersen offers a full range of piping and accessories for the handling of corrosive fluids and the protection of installation in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Piping: Armylor® PTFE is Mersen’s material made from PTFE or PFA. Since the 1960’s, Mersen has mas-tered all PTFE manufacturing processes such as paste extrusion, isostatic molding and PFA transfer molding.
