Using this continuity test with audible beepsignal connections can be checked when
ca rrying out resistanc e mea surement.
P r o t e c t i o n o n a ll r a n g e s
An input as high as 400 Vrms results in noda mage to the device, even when ca rrying outresistanc e mea surement. This o hmmeterfunction is protec ted by a n electronic c ircuitwhich, without a fuse, is both reliable andextreme ly quick to rea ct. The input terminalsca n take trans ient pulses up to 6 kV.As for the current ranges , they are protectedby high rupturing capacity (HRC) safety fusesa ga inst 600 V.
S a f e t y A l a r m s
In ohmmeter use an audible warning signallets the user know if an AC network voltage is
applied at the input. There is a lso a visible indicato r that lights up ifa fuse is blown.
A C c u r r en t m e a s ur e m e nt
The MX 2B c omes with a c urrent clamp fo rcurrent measurement that can be carried outsa fely up to 200 A. The AM 13N clamp ma kescurrent mea surement pos sible w ithout havingto break the c ircuit being mea sured.

The professiona lly des igned ca sing is s plash-proof and, thanks to a shock-proof surround,
also resistant to knocks a nd drops. Its smoothcasing design also makes it easy to clean.
U n f a i l i n g s a f e t y
The MX 2B a nd the MX 1 are c omp letely dou-bly insulated devices, good for measurementup to 1500 V. Furthermore, the S ECURX ca se-locking system prevents a ccidental disconnec -ting of the measurement leads. It also preventsthe opening of the ca sing, to change the fusesor the battery, whilst the measurement leadsare still connected.
