Outreach News
T he St. Anastasia Out-reach Program has been
in existence for over two years. During this time our volunteers have assisted our neighbors with shopping, transportation and have of-fered companionship. As the program has become better known in the community our services have been requested more frequently. We now find ourselves in need of more volunteers. If you can help, even if only for an hour a week, it would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to be a part of the outreach Program, please take a card which is located on the table in the vestibule, fill it out, and drop it in the Outreach Box. A member of the Outreach committee will contact you. Fashion Show News
O n April 2nd St. Anasta-sia School will hold its
annual Fashion Show and Dinner at Immaculate Con-ception Center. This is one of the school’s biggest fund-raisers of the year and we need your help. For those of you who are new to the school or did not at-tend last year’s Fashion Show it is quite a party! In between eating, viewing the fashions of Due Amici and having a great time we will raffle off fabulous theme baskets, which are put together from donations. If you have received any gifts during this holiday season that you do not want, please donate them to the Fashion Show. We will take any new/unused item, now mat-ter how small, and include it in one of our theme baskets. (Baskets are also needed.) We would also greatly appre-
ciate any donations for items such as services, attraction passes, tickets, restaurant or gift certificates or any other items that could be used for our raffles. All donations may be dropped off at the school of-fice or the rectory. If you are unable to drop off an item, please call (718) 428-3780 and a member of the commit-tee will pick it up from you. Thank you for your contin-ued support of St. Anastasia School.

T he St. John's University Good Friday Walk for
the Homeless will take place on April 10, from 9 AM—1 PM. The DeRege Family, our Parishioners, has done it together for the past 5 years and found it a good exer-cise—spiritual and physical—for Good Friday morning. Like last year, they welcome anyone who would like to join in the Walk. The De-Reges seek sponsors after Masses on March 28—29.
St. John’s Campus Ministry Department and the St Vin-cent de Paul Society of St. John’s University sponsor a 5K walk in solidarity with the poor of our City. On this day, they hope to demonstrate the
willingness to share in Christ’s suffering as they walk in unity for all who suf-fer in our world, most espe-cially the poor of our city. They remember in a special way what Good Friday repre-sents—that Jesus dies for us on this day so that we would might share in his resurrec-tion. Spirituality For Women

unique ways to enrich our faith, through reflection, prayer and sharing, using Joyce Rupp’s “May I Have This Dance?” Tuesday, April 7, Special Holy Week session: Leaning on God.
