Owners Mandi and Steve Rector are extremely proud to have been voted #1 “Best Breakfast” and “Best Brunch” by the Akron-Canton Hot List and Beacon’s Best Breakfast 2016! I worked as a nurse up until we opened the Honeymoon in 2013. We had a daughter (Selah) who was 1, and our son (Luke) would be born 4 months into our Honeymoon adventure! Because we were fortunate to have some early success with the Honeymoon, I decided to leave my nursing career to focus full time on growing our business. During our first two years my husband and I were doing H any and all jobs from marketing to payroll to the dishes while we worked to build a staff and restaurant that we hoped would be based on great service, great food, in a clean, family friendly atmosphere. Even though my husband and I both work hard be- cause it is a 7 day a week business, we are blessed to have a great staff that allows us to have some flexibility in our schedule to spend time with our 3 children. We are so thankful to have the support of our customers and co workers who have become almost like an extended to family to us and our kids. Although we have only been open 3 short years, I have learned so much in that time about what it takes to run a company and the discipline needed to continue to evolve to stay successful. Since we have had 3 children in the last four years as well, I have also had to improve my time management! Raising our children is our favorite job I must admit, but being able to work with family and the knowledge that I have gained from this experience so far have been nothing short of amazing! We look forward to seeing you at the Honeymoon Grille! 3458 Manchester Road, Akron 330-644-4355 honeymoongrille.com
