This service makes it easy for you to update your RANAdvisor to take advantage of new, enhanced functionality. It is an ideal way to ensure that your team and your system stay up-to-date.

SUS encompasses a comprehensive range of benefits and services. It will help you:

Access to Key Value-Added Features

Beginning with release 17.1, maintaining an active SUS license ensures uninterrupted access to special “SUS Lock” features. These capabilities are only available while your license is up-to-date.

What Do You Get?

You can expect the following software updates and enhancements as part of the update service:

y Access to software updates and software maintenance when available

y Downloadable updates (including SUS Lock features) via the Internet

Our experienced technical support team has a vast knowledge of drive-test measurements and network optimization. Our service-level agreement (SLA) includes:

y Telephone response within 4 business hours (8:30 – 6:00 p.m., GMT -5) in the U.S., 12 business hours outside the U.S., Monday through Friday

y E-mail response within 24 hours, Monday through Friday

y Remote viewing and control of your software

y Fast and secure sessions

y Secure file transfers

y Easy-to-use chat features for quick question/answer sessions

If required, extended support is available by appointment up to five times a year.

Software Updates

Viavi regularly releases enhancements to RANAdvisor in the form of software updates. Purchasing any of the update options entitles you to receive all of the updates (including SUS Lock features) released during the term of your agreement.

If a new release contains only minor revisions, Viavi will notify you so you can request or copy the software directly from a Viavi archive. These delivery mechanisms eliminate the necessity to continually check for the availability of new software.

SUS options include:

y 1-year Standard SUS (Option 060)

y 1-year Corporate SUS (for more than 50 systems)(Option 061)

y 1-year Tech Tool SUS (Option 062)

y 3-year Standard SUS (Option 063)

y 3-year Corporate SUS (Option 064)

y 3-year Tech Tool SUS (Option 065)

y 5-year Standard SUS (Option 066)

y 5-year Corporate SUS (Option 067)

y 5-year Tech Tool SUS (Option 068)

Software updates typically consist of a bundled package that contains both enhancements and maintenance items.

Enhancements include:

y New or enhanced functionality of existing applications

y Improvements in operator efficiency and application usability

Maintenance items include:

y System performance improvements

y Software patches to improve existing software applications

y Media and documentation to help you quickly understand the software changes and how to take advantage of them

Enhanced Support for High-Volume (50+) Systems

Being part of a global company enables Viavi to provide customers with even more support. In addition to the features already listed, we also provide direct access to the Viavi support database. You can view the details and current status of all your open and closed cases, plus:

y Generate summary reports

y Submit your own trouble tickets directly into the support database

y Update your cases as required

y Access our large knowledge base specific to drive-test issues

y Synchronize agreement renewal to update all of your systems each year in a single transaction

This is provided as part of the Corporate (Option 061) SUS. U.S. accounts will get a priority access number.

Your support team can provide you with various other optional services that coincide with the software update process that include:

y Installation assistance for your software updates

y Customized training for your users

y Application consulting that can help you optimize software updates

Additionally, a wide variety of other support services are available, including:

y RANAdvisor contract support services

Excluded Costs and Services

The following software update process costs and services are outside the scope of the SUS:

y A valid license is required for software updates supplied by this service and will be provided after Viavi receives payment of the appropriate fee. You can obtain licenses for other applications on the update media not previously purchased after Viavi receives payment of the appropriate fee.

y Viavi recommends that new customers to RANAdvisor (Version 10.0 and up) purchase on-site training (H7211B-209).

SUS Releases

Customers with a current SUS agreement will receive the benefits listed below. Customers can skip releases because each subsequent release includes a superset of previous releases. For example, customers upgrading from Release 16.1 to 16.3 also will receive the benefits of Release 16.2.

SUS Content in Release 17.1

New features include:

y Drive Director KPI engine (SUS Lock feature)

y Drive Animator API (SUS Lock feature)

y LTE E-ARFCN preference mode

y Sequencer log filtering

y Auto FTP of log files

y Support for new W1314B receiver

y Receiver measurement concurrency improvements 16 UMTS and 4 LTE

y 2x LTE measurement speed improvement

Issues resolved in Release 17.1 include:

y The WAIT_TIMER test is now available under the Parallel and Serial nodes in the Sequencer panel

y The Project Manager now displays the voice test summary correctly for imported handheld log files

y Cell-site linking now uses the cell ID from the UMTS cell ID 2 frame instead of the UTRAN cell ID from the UMTS cell ID frame

y The “Inst Real Throughput” measurement for EVDO is now reported correctly

y The Video Streaming with MOS test now runs properly on the Windows Vista 64-bit OS

y The application crash when importing certain SD5 log files is resolved

y GPS position is now plotted correctly on the map view during playback

y The Sequencer Status View now remembers the column widths across RANAdvisor runs
