Player/Parent Meeting – May 26th, 2015
There are four divisions. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. We are playing in the Army Division – Andover, Anoka, Cambridge-Isanti, Forest Lake, North Branch, and St. Francis
Playoffs – Division winners get a first round bye. All other teams will then play a one-game play-in game. The winners of that advance to the best two-out-of-three series. The winner of that then advances to the Final 8 District Tournament (double-elimination)
The winner of the District Tournament then advances to the VFW State Tournament. So in other words you have to be the best team out of 26 teams this year to make the VFW State Tournament.
Coaching Philosophy
Player/Parent Meeting – May 26th, 2015
To create a highly positive and highly motivating atmosphere that will maximizing player potential and learning abilities. To clearly define team roles and goals, as well as individual roles and goals. I want instill in my players a sense of accomplishment and a level of pride that comes from hard work and determination. Lastly, I would like to pass along my knowledge and love for this great game. Years from now I want my players to be able to look back and say, “I really love this game and I remember how Coach Saulsbury help instill that in me.”
Expectation
I have high expectations for myself, as well as my players. I will never ask you to do something you are not capable of doing. I expect everyone to give max effort in whatever role they have on any given day and to play the game the right way. There is zero tolerance for lack of effort or laziness. Hard work and determination is what you deserve, your teammates deserve, parents and fans deserve, and most importantly the game deserves.
Always remember, RESPECT THE GAME!

Hard Work Love the Game
Expectation
From time to time a player may want to grow their role on the team. Players should always discuss this with me during the season. It is no longer the responsibility of Mom and Dad to have these conversations. If you are going to be late or miss a practice/game, you must communicate that to me.If you have a job or a planned vacation that will cause you miss games/practices – email that to me ASAP.
Player/Parent Meeting – May 26th, 2015
Expectations
Expectation
Yes, there are expectations for you as well. I expect parents and fans to be respectful to our opponents and umpires. Cheer, have fun, and be supportive of the team and your son. At no time, should the coaches have to manage the bleachers too. I exercise one rule – the 1-time get out of jail free rule. If someone becomes a problem or disruptive, they get one chance. If this happens again, that person is promptly going to be asked to leave. If it is a parent, that parent will be asked to leave as well as the player. There is zero tolerance with these items.
Player/Parent Meeting – May 26th, 2015
Expectations - Parents
Expectation
If a parent feels they need to discuss items going on with their son regarding playing time, how they are being treated, etc. I ask that we set up a meeting away from the field and team. I have no interest in having these meetings before or after a game or practice.
