these rules is mandatory for everyone while working for Emdad & its group of companies. These
rules are linked to a consequences matrix that spells out what happens when someone does
break any one of those 18 rules. Emphasizing these 18 rules does not mean that Emdad is
dropping any of our other rules and procedures. They are vital and just as important as LSR.
A video containing CEOs message about LSR is made with an aim to get the message clearly
communicated with all employees and making them aware that these rules are to protect them
and make them go home safe.

without any major non-conformities. By successfully completing the transition EMDAD is fulfilling
the updated requirements of ISO standards.
API Q2 CERTIFICATION
On 16th June 2017 Emdad’s drilling services received API specification Q2 certification.
API Q2 is the world’s most advanced industry certification standard for oil and natural
gas service providers. To gain this certification a facility must demonstrate a robust
quality management system that assures personnel competency, risk assessment,
contingency planning, and other key elements. This certification validates the success of our
strong operational quality, HSE & team work.
INNOVATIVE IDEAS STRATEGIC REPOSITIONING MANAGIMENT SYSTEM (ISM)
ISM procedure which is incorporated in to Emdad’s IMS system mainly aims to identify, record,
analyze & take required actions for process/system improvement. This has been used by many of
our TMs for raising suggestions, observations, NCs etc. which has helped us in taking required
actions on time and preventing the recurrence of the same. ISM awareness sessions were
conducted for TMs.
In the year 2017, total 86 ISM’s were raised.

Trend of HSE Observations (4th Quarter – Q4):
ES & IGC has changed the existing monthly reporting packages and one of the major advantage of
that, we can easily identify the Trend of HSE Observations and that document has the features that
for all negative observations has a Main Category & Sub Category Selection, which is very useful to
focus & decide the next month Safety Campaign as well. What action taken by the HSE Team is
reflected in that document as well. There are certain safety tools used to report the HSE
Observations such as First Party Audit, Second Party Audit, Third Party Audit, HSE Inspections, ORIS
Card, Management Safety Walkabout (L4), PTW Audit – Client, PTW Audit – Contractor & HSE
Scored Audit.
