SMP Overview – Sam TroemelSpecific Ministry Pastor

•4-year program consisting of weekly online classes through Concordia Seminary – St. Louis, as well as weekly mentor discussions with Pastor Ebert. Calvary approved Sam’s enrollment into the SMP program in May 2018 . •Considered an alternate route to ordination that allows

congregations to train leaders from their congregation. • Students are ordained entering their third year of classes with

the understanding that they must complete the remainder of their classes.

Divine CallMotion: Extend Call to Sam Troemel as Associate Pastor of Youth & Family Ministry

•While Sam’s specific program of study will require his ongoing participation through 2022, we have reached the point in which a pastoral call may be issued by Calvary this fall. Therefore, the Spiritual Care Ministry Team, acting as Calvary’s call committee, submits to the congregation a recommendation to extend a divine call to Sam Troemel as Pastor of Youth & Family Ministry.
