Thank Youfor your support as we work together to help families affected by autism live life to the fullest.

I am so grateful for the families I meet who are eager to share their stories of how the Flutie

Foundation helped their loved ones with autism learn to ski, take karate lessons, or find a

job and make new friends. While many families can take these opportunities for granted,

these are significant and triumphant accomplishments for individuals with autism. Each

year, we continue to see the need for supports and services at all ages and across the autism

spectrum grow. With that in mind, providing families with the tools and support they need

along the way continues to be our top priority.

With your help in 2016, we were able to impact over 13,000 people through our community

partners and the programs we funded.

Looking ahead, we will continue to identify opportunities that meet the needs of families

and increase the capacity of the autism community through our annual Partner Summit and

collaborative relationships.

Boston vs Bullies is an award-winning

educational program that leverages

the power and example of Boston

sports to help stop bullying in schools.

“ I want you all to know that I am so proud of who I am, and I will make sure that no one takes that away from me or anyone else. Mr. D said that we have to be strong and be mindful of others and not just stand by when someone else is being mean and showing bullying behavior. Who’s in with me?”

– Participating Student

Active LifestyleCamp Shriver , UMass Boston

A summer camp serving children with and

without disabilities so that all children can

play, learn and interact in meaningful ways

with their peers.

“ I was nervous at first about her going to a regular camp because of her autism. But it turned out to be a new beginning for her. She was able to use her words and ask if she could play. She made friends by herself! I would recommend this camp to parents who are afraid to let their child with a disability become who they’re supposed to be.”

– Mom of a Camper

Adult Independence Friends of the New York Transit Museum

Ready to Ride helps participants develop

the practical and social skills needed

to travel the NYC mass transit system

safely and as independently as possible.

“ I know repetition helps Ben, as I’m sure it does many of his peers and this program can only help to reinforce and practice the students’ travel skills. Ben was able to swipe his MetroCard successfully on the second try on our trial trip which is the best I have seen him do. I was so impressed! This program is a great opportunity for the kids.”

A year and a half into business, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises had a fantastic 2016 with our FSE Office Solutions micro-business,

employing adults across the spectrum to do mailing, assembly, and shredding jobs. We doubled our workforce from three

employees to six, who collectively worked 940 hours. Helping us spread the word, multiple media outlets generously covered

Flutie Spectrum Enterprises in their publications. Throughout the year, our employees helped out by volunteering at the Flutie

Foundation’s golf tournament and road race, enjoyed our annual festive holiday party, and were honored as Shining Stars at the

Flutie Foundation’s Night to Shine Gala.

FSE Office Solutions took on a wide variety of jobs this year, continuously expanding the skillset of our employees. We cater to

everyone’s needs, offering a wide array of quality services at competitive prices to take care of the busy work that takes people

away from their business. Giving work to FSE is a win-win opportunity: customers get to spend time on more important tasks while

taking pride in helping us create employment for adults across the spectrum.
