improvementgoals

clearwater marine aquarium’s (cma) current goals include providing the best guest experience as well as improving our animal habitats. in 2014, cma made filtration and enrichment changes to the otter oasis and turtle bayou habitats. the goal was to create a more natural environment for our animals that is safe and enriching. the turtles and otters sure are enjoying their new spaces.

cma’s future goals for construction include expansion on the east side of our facility. the following improvements will allow cma to deliver the best experience for our animals and guests:

a neW aviarY: this 2,500 sq ft exhibit will create a larger pelican habitat.

recreated retail space: this new area will include 2,500 sq ft retail displays, a dressing room, storage areas, and increased office space.

guest concessions: the new area will offer 1,000 sq ft of a movie set themed structure to provide new fresh food options to our patrons.

ticKeting KiosK: Will provide guests with an expedited entry option and the possibility of a “members only” entrance.

With our new projects, we hope to provide our animals with a more enriching home while creating greater guest engagement in our mission and promoting environmental stewardship.
