Annual Report

2012

The Mission of the Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett is to demonstrate the love of Christ in word and deed by providing affordable and accessible health care services to the indigent and working poor.

Our Purpose is to glorify God through meeting the general medical needs of our patients as well as their spiritual needs through prayer and biblical counseling.

MISSION

PURPOSE

He went to him and bandaged his wounds...Go and do likewise.-Luke 10:34-37

Looking back on 2012 we so clearly see that God had the Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett firmly in His hand. We accomplished much, in fact our progress and successes of the year were almost staggering, but we confess nothing was accomplished under our own might. Indeed everything was of God’s own doing, and we praise Him for causing our ministry to flourish and for using us to accomplish His plans. All of us— staff, students and volunteers—are honored to have a role in delivering healthcare to the uninsured and in doing so, bringing the hope of the Gospel to those who hunger for it. To God goes the glory, and unto His will, may we continue here for time to come to be the modern day example of the Good Samaritan, and may you be blessed in abundance so that you may bless with abandon.

We pray every day before we begin our work, asking God to guide our efforts and bless our patients, volunteers and staff.

We utilize volunteer medical providers in order to keep our costs low, making it possible to charge our patients significantly discounted fees for our services.

We accept nursing, pharmacy and other student healthcare professionals as interns, making it possible to help train rising medical providers in a compassionate Christian setting, helping to grow within them a heart for medical ministry work.

We enter into partnerships in the medical community to maximize convenient and affordable access to other necessary services for our patients.

We partner with churches to provide a venue for deploying their members into sacrificial service for the Kingdom.
