Dear Red Angus Friends,WEWELCOME friends and customers to our 27th Annual Spring Fling Sale, held here at the ranch! We’ve been in the cale business for over 40 years and the Registered Red Angus part for 35 years. As we celebrate our 27th Sale at the ranch, we look back at the beginning. We purchased 5 purebred cows from Bootjack Red Angus to kick off the herd in 1985 and have been building it ever since, with purchases from the Presgious NILE sale, private treaty, other sales, embryo work and AI. It’s fun to look back at the beginning and look at your own herd and how things have changed & progressed.

TheThe bulls are targeted for a 3lb/day gain in the feedlot. They summer on nave dryland grass, their dams and what Mother Nature provides, there is NO creep feeding. This year was full of rain, fields full of yellow sweet clover with plenty of feed and great genecs proved the gain-ability of these bulls. We are extremely proud of the length and depth in our cale and it carries to the progeny.

All bulls have been ferlity tested by Dr. Kae Rein, DVM and are guaranteed to be breeders. Some of the bulls have been 50K DNA tested and the results are back and so noted. The heifer mates are cycling like crazy and will make someone one heck of a cow!

FISCHER RED ANGUS

Justice is a growth bull and he does not disappoint. 20D combines two top AI sires with Grand Oscar 8014 and Justice 8013, known for maternal and growth traits. His EPD’S indicate that growth by placing him in the top 1% for Weaning & Yearling, top 2% for ADG, top 7% for GridMaster and top 11% for HerdBuilder. His daughters are in production and milk well. You can pick out Deuce progeny by their sheer volume and length! Deuce had an actual birth weight of 85 lbs, weaning at 841 lbs. with a 112 ratio, yearling weight of 1348 lbs with a weaning ratio of 113, put him at the very top of his class. Moderate frame, wide body, lots of natural thickness, full of solid muscle with a disposition that will charm you! Deuce’s progeny average 80 lbs at birth, 752 lbs at weaning and yearling of 1226 lbs. He’s in the top 13% for HerdBuilder, top 10% for Stayability and top 5% for Marbling. His first daughters are in production and have beautiful udder structure and milk well. Co-owned with Gill Hammer.

A Deuce son out of a Meet Specs dam, very maternal power here. Stayability in the top 5% of breed, top 7% in Milk and the top 7% for HerdBuilder.

HERD SIRE ALERT!! I firmly believe this is one of the best bulls we have ever offered. His dam is awesome and his granddam is no slouch, as both carry an MPPA of 106. The dam is sired by a Soldier Son we used for 2 weeks before delivering him to Lynn LaBatte. His EPD's put him at the top 1% of the breed in Weaning, Yearling, ADG, top 6% for Stayability, 10% for GridMaster, 9% for CW, 17% for Marbling and 18% for REA. You best come and look for yourself! Here are some rare genetics! Lakota 3100 was an AI Sire prematurely lost with limited semen available. We obtained 2 straws from Forster Red Angus in a fund raising effort for Kenny after his mishap. We had a Lakota dam who never missed a calving season in her 15 years here, so we know the genetics work. The dam, Larkaba came through the NILE sale in 2014. This bull is long and a dark red. He should work on heifers extremely well. Selling 1/2 interest and full possession.

The youngest bull in the sale. Late calves usually don't make the sale, especially an April calf, but this guy is exceptional and so is his dam. EPD's put him in the top 1% of the breed for Weaning and 3% for Yearling. Long, smooth made type. His 87lb birthweight is probably deceiving, since he was born late and momma no doubt ate plenty of food with how cold February was last year.

Reap the "Rewards" here of a solid Deuce son, from a Kodiak dam. This guy was part of our winning MATE People's Choice Bull Pen. A birthweight of 82 lbs and exploded to 879 weaning weight, with a 111 weaning ratio and a 110 yearling ratio. Very solid bull with plenty to offer in the EPD department: Top 1% for Weaning, 2% for Yearling, 13% for milk. Dam has a MPPA of 102. Selling 1/2 interest and full possession.

Here's the kind of bull to build a herd around. Excellent heifer bull prospect and then move him up to the cows. If you follow our program, you know the NIBB cow line is pretty dominant. A definite heifer bull prospect. Started at 64 lbs and then shifted into gear and was the 2nd top gaining bull from Sept. to December. A little younger than most, but his dam was the first to calve this year with another bull calf. Where did the name come from? Ron John Fischer (RJF) now has another grandson, Reese John Fischer (RJF Junior).

AI Sire that provides new genetics for us. This bull has TOPSHELF genetics for maternal traits that pay, year after year. Top 1% of the Red Angus breed for both HerdBuilder and Stayability. Heifer bull prospect. The dam is very consistent. This bull was born at 71 lbs and went 724 lbs at weaning. Last year's bull was born at 63 lbs and went to 728 lbs. Pretty reliable and she has a bull calf this year. Smaller framed bull, plenty of depth and volume, in the top 3% for milk.

It was one damn cold day on Feb. 11th, 2019 and this calf carries a bit of a reminder with his nipped ears. Actual weight on 9/9 was 790 lbs. Top growth EPD's for Weaning at 4% and top 9% for Yearling. Suggested use on cows.
