Directions:
• Print all the pages and ask the students to cut out the puzzle pieces (except
the answer key).
• Before the puzzle pieces are cut out, I would suggest laminating them. It means
that you will be able to use them for years to come.
• After the students have cut them out, ask them to arrange the pieces in order
to match questions/definitions with their corresponding solutions/answers.
• If this is the first time your students are doing a Tarsia puzzle, you may want
to guide them with the first few pieces, before they continue on their own.
• When putting the puzzle pieces together, the students can be working by
themselves or in pairs/groups depending on the grade level and/or how difficult
the puzzle is.
• If there is a side to any of the pieces that is blank, it tells you it’s an outside
piece. Think of them as the flat edge pieces in a puzzle.
• This is a great activity for test review and the pieces can be glued into
interactive notebooks.
