General Instructions:
1. Registration is to be done individually on the link

2. The last date for registration is 29th August 2020. NO entries will be allowed
after that.
3. Please mention correct team names in the form in case of team events.
4. NO editing will be allowed after the submission of form so please be attentive
while filling the form.
5. In case of any enquiries please get in touch with student coordinators don’t
contact the faculties.

7. IMP NOTE: All SY and TY teams of Team events must have at least one FY
student in their team. You will be allotted a FY student from the Anvesh team.
Just mention it to the student coordinator of the event after your team gets
registered.
LITERARY
I. DEBATE
Participants will have to give their names individually and a team will be allotted to
them by the coordinators. Each team will consist of 3 students.
Each round of debate will consist of two teams. One team will speak in favour of the
motion and the other team will speak against the motion.
All the rounds of debate will comprise of formal debating with the following format
specifics:
⦁ Proposition speaker [2 minutes]
⦁ Opposition speaker [2 minutes]
⦁ Preposition speaker [2 minutes]
⦁ Opposition speaker [2 minutes]
⦁ Preposition speaker [2 minutes]
⦁ Opposition speaker [2 minutes]
⦁ Rebuttal round [6-8 minutes]
After each round, the winning team will qualify for the next round and the other team
will be eliminated.
For the first round, the topic will be given one day prior to the debate. For the rounds
ahead, the topics will be given 45 minutes prior to the debate.
Medium of expression will be English, Gujarati or Hindi.
Participants will not be allowed to read a prepared item.

II. POEM WRITING
THE COMPETITION IS OPEN FOR ALL.
POEM MUST BE WRITTEN IN ENGLISH, HINDI OR GUJARATI.

POEM SHOULD BE THEMATICAL. (Must be based on proper theme).

THE PRESENTED ITEM SHALL BE PROSE, NEITHER POETRY NOR IN THE
FORM OF A SONG.

IV. EXTEMPORE
MEDIUM OF EXPRESSION WILL BE HINDI, ENGLISH OR GUJARATI.
THE IMPROMPTU SPEECH IS TO BE OF 2 MINUTES DURATION WITH 3
MINUTES PREPARATION TIME.
THE SPEECH IS INTENDED TO REVEAL A PARTICIPANT’S ABILITY TO
DEVELOP A POINT OF VIEW ON A GENERAL TOPIC AND TO DELIVER
IMPROMPTU SPEECH WITHIN LIMITED PREPARATION TIME.
PARTICIPENTS WILL BE GIVEN THE TOPIC ON THE SPOT.

V. STORY TELLING
Theme of the story will be given on the spot.
Each participant will get 3 minutes to present story
Medium of expression will be in English.
Each participant will get 2 minutes to prepare.
The participants will not be allowed to jot down anything prior to presentation.
Participant has to be thematically in flow.
Participants have to join 15 min. Before the competition starts.

CULTURAL
I. DANCE – SOLO
Participants have to get registered before deadline.
All forms of dance are welcome.
Participants have to submit video of their dance to the coordinator on the day of event.
(We are not having a live competition).
Maximum limit of video is 4 min. If exceeds, will lead to negative markings.
Any misconduct/indecency by participants will lead to disqualification.
Format of the video should be .mp4 (compulsory).
Quality of video should be either 1280x720 (720p) or 1920x1280 (1080p).
Participants must shoot a new video.
Edits in the video will lead to disqualification.
Videos are to be emailed before 30th August, 2020 (Sunday) to the student
coordinator.
Decision of judges will be absolute. Three best videos will be put on college Instagram
handle, @gls.bba for vote.
Core committee of Anvesh holds the right to change rules on the day of event.

II. SINGING – SOLO
Only solo performances are to be accepted. No duets allowed.
There are no live performances.
You required to submit a video of your performance to the student coordinator.
The song selected can be of any language.
Whether to include music or not is participant’s choice.
Instruments are allowed only if the participants play it themselves.
You are required to make a video of maximum 3 minutes.
Mention your full name and year at the start of the video.
Make sure that the sound and video quality is clear as the results would be based on
that only.
No cuts and edits are allowed in the video or you will be disqualified.
You must register before the deadline.
Videos are to be emailed before 30th August, 2020 (Sunday) to the student
coordinator.
Please make sure you submit the final video, no changes would be allowed later on.
The subject of the email and the name of the file should be “ANVESH2020_(event
name)_YOUR NAME”

MANAGEMENT EVENT
I. MOVIE ANALYSIS
TEAM:
Participants can register in teams of 3-8 members
DURATION:
Each team will get maximum of 10 minutes for presentation
The presentation may include the audio-visual trailers of the movie that has been
analyzed. No extra time will be given for screening trailers.
The presentation will be done on WeBex Platform
RULES:
This event is based on analyzing and reviewing the movies.
The review must be concise. Teams are not expected to reveal the suspense of the
movies.
Assert an opinion and back it up.
Write and present something original
The movie selected for a review can be of any language.
Teams have to email their presentation slides before one day of the scheduled event.
SUBMISSIONS:
The Teams must register the Movie Name before September 5th, 2020 to the student
coordinators.
No two teams can repeat the sectors, so book your selected sectors on FCFS basis.
Submissions to be to emailed to student coordinators before 8th September, 2020.
The subject of the email and the name of the file should be “ANVESH2020_MOVIE
ANALYSIS_MOVIE NAME”.
The first slide of presentation should include the names of the team members, roll
numbers and class.

II. AD MAD
TEAM:
Participants can register in teams of 3-8 members
DURATION:
Each team will get maximum of 10 minutes to present poster and creatives, followed
by question-answer round.
The presentation will be done on WeBex Platform
RULES:
The teams would have to make an advertisement on any product/service of their
choice.
ROUND 1: POSTER:
Each team needs to make a Poster Advertisement for the same.
The poster needs to be in JPEG or PNG Format.
The poster can be of ratios: 1:1(Square), 16:9(Landscape), 4:3(Portrait)
The poster needs to be emailed before one day of the scheduled event.
ROUND 2: CREATIVES
Each team needs to make a creative advertisement for the product they selected in
Round 1.
This may include any of the format:
o Only Jingle or
o Only Audio Ad or
o Only Visual Ad or
o Audio visual Ad or
o Combination
The creative may be recorded or presented live on WebEx platform
The recorded creative should be emailed before one day of the scheduled event.
In case, if the team is submitting AV ad, the format should be as follows: AVI, MP4,
Video quality - HD 1080P
In case, if team is presenting through jingles, a word document of jingle lyrics must be
emailed
ADMAD: GENERAL GUIDELINES:
The team of participating students will have to handle all aspects of the Ad film making
including the selection of a product/service; creation of your own brand name; creation
a new tag line; jingles; or any other aspect of your choice.
The ad should be self-explanatory. No time will be given for explanations.
Songs if used, should be your own creation i.e. Lyrics and music should be original.
The caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice,
defamation, etc. in advertisement.
SUBMISSIONS:
Submissions to be to emailed to student coordinators before 11th September, 2020.
The subject of the email and the name of the file should be “ANVESH2020_AD
MAD_BRAND NAME”.
Along with the poster, send the document having the names of the team members,
roll numbers and class.

TEAM:
Participants can register in teams of 3-8 members
DURATION:
Each team will get maximum of 10 minutes for presentation
The presentation must include the audio-visual advertisements which have been

RULES:
This event is based on analyzing how the brands/ companies are using different
strategies to compare and contrast their products from that of the competitor.
The comparison could be done on any of the following parameters:
What is the advertisement for, Context / Intention of the advertisement?
The effect of the advertisement and target audience
Present evidence of the effectiveness of the ad on the target audience
Show various components of the advertisement
Explain some of the outstanding strategies used to persuade the target audience
Describe the values and emotion the ad provokes in the readers
Describe the visual strategies; Describe the ethos, pathos, and logos
Describe the textual strategies, including the diction and the tone.
Present the most important points justify why the advertisement is successful

The selected sectors need to be examined on the basis of advertisements of any three
brands which fall into the respective category.
The time-gap between all the advertisements broadcasted should not exceed 24
months.
A presentation should comprise of a comparative study of the three selected
advertisements, each of a different brand.

The Teams must register the Selected Sector before September 10th, 2020 to the
student coordinators.
No two teams can repeat the sectors, so book your selected sectors on FCFS basis.

2020.

IV. Face to Face
This event is a hypothetical representation of a formal interview to check the credibility
and content of an individual. This event would question the confidence, spontaneity and
also evaluate an individual’s conceptual clarity. To sum up, interview is the most effective
way of identifying your relative worth.
The interview could be related to higher education or for a job in the corporate
sector.
A personal interview by a panel of judges will be conducted online based on the
resume
The resume should contain basic details, your qualification, Your area of Interest,
hobbies, your contribution towards the society and your future plans
Candidate’s CV needs to be mailed to [email protected] by August
28th, 2020.
The candidates will be evaluated for their Quality of Resume, Body Language and
Justification of Answers.

V. Business Plan Presentation
So, you have a brilliant idea for a new product or service. You feel energized, inspired,
and ready to forge ahead. Then your first challenge is to ‘create a business plan’. The
goal of Inventopreneur is to hone the business plans of young and budding entrepreneurs.
The participants are expected to create a hypothetical road map of their business,
navigating through the opportunities present in the market and by presenting and
overcoming the inevitable obstacles an entrepreneur might face, besides developing
strategies to avoid problems before they arise.
Participants can register as a team of 2-4.
Judges’ decision will be considered final and binding.
This event will have elimination if required.
Elimination Round (if required)
Participants need to prepare a 3-minute presentation for their business plan.
The presentation should contain the following slides: -
o Title Slide : Team Members, Name of the Project/Idea
o Problem/Opportunity (Preferably with proof like surveys)
o Value Proposition (What is your solution to the problem?)
o Technology (The secret sauce)
o Business Model (Who has the money and how do you plan to get it.
The presentation should not have more than 5 slides.
Selected teams will qualify for the next round.
Final Round
The Plan
Each team needs to prepare a write up and PowerPoint Presentation of their
Business Plan.
The Write-Up should not exceed 500 words.
Each team will have 10 minutes for presentation.
The presentation will be followed by 3-5 minutes for Q&A Round.
Participants have to include the following concepts in their Business Plan:-
Problem Statement
o Idea Summary
o Market Overview
o Financial Feasibility
o Competitive Landscape
o Marketing and Expansion Strategy
o Future scope of their current product or service (Forecasting of 2030)
The Write-Up and PowerPoint Presentation should be mailed to

for their Relevance, Feasibility and Q&A.

VI. JAM SESSION
This session would have 2 rounds.
Word round and story weaving round.
In the word round words would be given to participants and the participants have
to speak on the word for one minute continuously.
They have to be grammatically correct and the pronunciation should be accurate.
If any students commit a mistake the other participant can raise the objection and
if the objection is sustained, the participant can talk about the word.
The participant should also take care that he or she does not stammer and take
long pauses.
In the story weaving round, the same rules need to be followed. In this the
participants have to weave a story and if objections are raised by other participants
then, he or she has to continue from the story where it was left.

VII. Research Paper Presentation
Participants can register as a team of 2-4.
The research paper should have abstract not more than 300 words.
The manuscript must include the following headers:
o INTRODUCTION,
o LITERATURE REVIEW,
o DISCUSSION,
o CONCLUSION,
o AND REFERENCES.
Use font style Times New Roman, Heading 14 point and description 12point
Referencing must be as per the APA style
The research paper must be submitted to [email protected] by
28th August 2020.

VIII. FINANCIALLY FORWARD
Participants can register as a team of 2-4.
Each team will be provided with a different stock, 2 days prior to the event.
The participants need to analyze the stock and pitch it to the judges.
The analysis should include the following aspects: -
- Fundamental Analysis
- Technical Analysis
Each team will be given 7 minutes for Pitching followed by 3 minutes for Q&A.

FINE ARTS
I. Best Out Of Waste
The topic will be allotted on the spot.
Each participant have to keep their video ON.
The participants have to take care that the things which you are making should
be from the waste.
Time limit of the event is 90 minutes only.
II. On The Spot Painting
● Topic will be allotted on the spot.
● Participants have to carry their material with them.
● Time limit of the event is 90 minutes only.
● Each participant have to keep their video ON.
● When participants complete their painting then after they have to message or raise
hand.
● Keep all your things with you as once the competition starts you cannot leave the
place to get anything.
● 5 minutes will be given for getting the stuff and to check the internet connectivity.
● In case of any problem with internet or any other problem quickly contact the event
coordinator.
III. Collage
● Topic will be allotted on the spot.
● Time duration is 90 minutes.
● Participants have to carry their material with them. Material can be anything from
which you can a perfect picture.
● Participants have to keep their video ON.
● For any technical issues contact event coordinator incharge.
IV. Hair do
● Participants can take help of anyone but only for support.
● Time duration is 90 minutes.
● Participants should carry their material with them.
V. Rangoli
● No props are allowed.
● No chart papers are allowed.
● The design should be your own, referring any printed material or any other
design from your device is not allowed.
● Needs to be hand- drawn.
● The rangoli should not disrespect any person, community etc.
● You can be disqualified in case you break the rules.
● Cooperation is expected from your side.
● Time limit is 90 minutes only.

VI. Mehendi
● Participant can apply mehendi on their own hand as well as someone else's hand.
