Aspirate TauroLock™ from the catheter with a syringe.

Flush all lumens of the access device with 10 ml of sali-ne using a syringe applying the push-pause-technique.

Then start dialysis.

Afterwards, flush the access device with at least 10 mL saline.

Gently tap the neck of the ampoule to remove the solu-tion.

Put the ampoule in a position that you can see the white dot on top and break off the neck with a quick move-ment.

Withdraw the required volume of TauroLock™ from the ampoule into a sterile syringe.

For an efficient prophylactic use of TauroLock™ slowly instill a volume sufficient to fill all lumens of the device entirely.

The filling volume of each lumen is indicated on the de-vice or is available from the manufacturer of the device.
