Prayer of Invocation/Confession
Gracious God, we have gathered in this
holy place to give thanks and to praise
You for Your mighty works. Thank
You for working in each of us to
transform us from people held captive
to sin, into people filled with the Holy
Spirit. The Spirit dwells within us. The
Spirit burns within us. We have the
blessed assurance that the Holy Spirit
is guarding our minds and our hearts.
We live in a world of distractions but,
You, O God, You hear our prayers. We
can live and rejoice and give thanks
because You are near. We can lay down
our wants and fears because we are not
alone. Thank You, O God, for loving us
through the sacrifice and resurrection
of Jesus. You love and You reign over
all things. Amen!
We are called to this place to worship
God. We lift our voices to God. We are
called to this place to be changed by
God. We offer our lives to God.

OFFERTORY PRAYER
Holy Father, thank You for Your
bountiful provision. Thank You for
Jesus who is the Bread of Life and is
food enough for our spiritual hungers.
We bring our tithes, mission offerings
and sacrificial gifts for Your use and
Your work. We give in response to
You having already given to us. You
first sought us and gave to us; You
loved us before we could love You.
Thank You! Accept our praise and our
gifts. In love we bring both. Amen.
“Let your light so shine...that the
world may see your good works, and
glorify your Father which is in
heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Some people think of the Holy Spirit in terms of ancient history. They think
that the Holy Spirit was only active on the Day of Pentecost. Aren't you
glad that you know different? God has given us the precious gift called the
Holy Spirit. Aren't you glad? Yes the Holy Spirit worked in the past. Yes
the Holy Spirit will work in the future. But I'm so glad, that I know that
the Holy Spirit is God's present gift to us. The Holy Spirit is God's personal
gift to us. The Holy Spirit is God's precious gift to us. And the Holy Spirit
is God's powerful gift to us. Aren't you glad?
