Administrator’s MessageFebruary might have been a short month but itsure was packed with great happenings. SuperBowl party was a great gathering… great foodand a great time for all. WOTM had their casinotrip and as always great trip. Want to thank allwho attended the Moose Legion Picnic. We reallyhad a great turnout from our lodge. Great job tothe WOTM for their pulled pork dinner. SeafoodFest WOW! Great Job! Special thanks to GeneHerbst and Chuck Urbanek for all the hard work

and for making this a super night ofgreat food and fun.

I want to thank our Man of theMonth, James “Whitey” Po-powski, for always being there

for the lodge and for anythingthat may arise. I would also like to thank

Governor’s ReportThe Governor covered most of thehappenings at the lodge for thismonth so I want to touch on somethings that make it a bit easier in the

office.When you are out there gettingthose new members signed up

to help getting your dues paid of the next year,remember a couple of things. These new mem-bers are unfamiliar with our applications and theperson signing them up needs tocheck the filled out applicationto make sure it is filled outcompletely. Some things toremember, make sure theysign the OBLIGATION on theback of the application (sign, printname, date), make sure we get a CORRECTPHONE NUMBER, both home and mobile, makesure we get an EMAIL ADDRESS, if they haveone, an OCCUPATION and place of work (ifthey are working!), and if they are MARRIED ornot and the SPOUSE’S NAME, if they are. Re-member too, Moose International WILL NOT AC-CEPT POST OFFICE BOXES for an address, sowe must have a physical address.It only takes a minute to look over the application,before it is turned in, to make sure all of theabove is completed. You would be surprised howmuch easier it makes the job of getting that appli-cation into the computer and transmitted up toMoose International in a timely manner.Keep up the good work, come in to the SeafoodFest (ymmmmm….oysters!!!), have a drink, chitchat, and keep those new members applicationscoming. Special recognition goes to GovernorKen Lipp and Prelate Gene Herbst for earning aspot in the 25-Member Club. We are still looking for ladies tochair some of our Committees; please step upand help out your Women of the Moose Chapter1892. We are always in need of volunteers tohelp out at our func-tions. Please see anyofficer or attend ourmeetings on the 1st

and 3rd Wednesday ofevery month at 6:30PM. We would love tohave you attend andoffer any new sugges-tions that you mayhave. Can you pleasespare an hour for yourChapter twice amonth?

Our monthly dinnerfor the Woman of theMoose will be held on March 23 this month. Ourmenu will be Lasagna, salad, roll and, of course,dessert. On the day of our our normal third-Satur-day dinner, the Moose Riders will be hosting achicken and ribs festival.

Please check the WOTM’s Bulletin Board for up-coming events. We will be coming up with somespecials to help defray the cost of two conven-tions: April in Orlando and then again late May inMilwaukee. The Women will need your help tosend our ladies to these conventions. Pleasekeep in mind this is something that we have todo. If we do not go to both Stateand International Conventions itgoes against our Chapter andour personal honors. Won’t youplease help us?
