o Monday – Celebrating our Heroes (Dress as your favorite hero, such as a past president, first responder, or military service member) o Tuesday – “Hats off to the United States!” (Wear your favorite hat or create a hat worn by a past president) o Wednesday – “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around that Old Oak Tree!” (Wear a tie or ribbon) o Thursday – “And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free…” (Crazy dress; inside out, backwards day) o Friday – “Patriotic Pride!” (Wear Red, White, and Blue)

Essay Contest Guidelines • Essays should be legible and must be related to the topic. • Ensure each essay is written solely by the student and shows a sense of pride and effort.

Poster Contest Guidelines • Posters should be no larger than 11”X18” and must be related to

the topic. • Ensure each poster is created solely by the student and shows a

sense of pride and effort.

All entries (poster and/or essay) must be submitted no later than September 16, 2016.
