“If two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.” — Ma hew 18:19
A Message of Love In the final verses of today’s Gospel reading Jesus says that when two or three are gathered in his name, “there am I in the midst of them” (Ma hew 18:20). So we understand that fraternal correc on is always undertak-en with Jesus present to us. Likewise, encouraging the good in others is not only the right thing for us to do, it is a necessity. The Lord tells the prophet Ezekiel that if he “does not speak out” to dissuade a person from evil, then he too will be held responsible. We live in a “do your own thing” age when moral objec vity is o en ignored. Clearly when the message we share with others is one of love, our mo ves cannot ever be misinterpreted. As St. Paul writes, “Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law” (Romans 13:10). ~Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
Bringing the Eucharist to the homebound limited to members in your household Currently, if you bring a pyx to Mass to carry the Eucharist to the sick or homebound, please remember that under the current health guidelines, you can only bring the Eu-charist to people living in your immediate house-hold (those living in your own home). We ask that you not compromise the health of others and risk the poten-
al spread of the COVID-19 virus by bringing the Eucharist to someone outside your household. Thank you for adhering to the guidelines and prac ces of the County, the Diocese of Oakland, and our parish, which allow us to con nue to safely worship together.

Music is in their blood, as is the crea vity to want to sing or play an instrument. Couple that with a heart for ministry and you have a giving group of people that would love to do something special for their parish communi es. What began as weekly Zoom mee ngs to rehearse future pieces for the choir, the music quickly evolved to something much more. We introduced collabora ve recordings, click tracks, and mul ple recording devices. When people said that this technology stuff would be too difficult, something wonderful happened - the Holy Spirit took over any fears and our first Virtual Project came to be….a music video to express their love for God and our parish. With the gi ed help of parish webmaster David Magenheimer and hours of edi ng, the first video was com-pleted. Choir members, with detailed remote recording instruc ons from our Music Director Barbara Pinto-Choate, rehearsed their parts and received click tracks, recorded by our accompanist, Agatha Lee. With a li le help along the way, their voices blended into a rich and beau ful sound as they created each video. Word got out to neighboring St. Raymond Parish and their music director Chris Choate (the son of Barbara Pinto-Choate) in Dublin, and they were happy to join us in crea ng a blended choir, adding sixteen voices to the In Your Hands video. The momentum has built, and soon, the Simbang Gabi Choir will be releasing a beau ful song in Tagalog. In addi on, the teen choir and band members will be working on their own videos. In the mean me, you can now view our current videos, a moving musical testament to our shared "house of faith" and the bonds of love that e us together - regardless of where we call home in these unique mes.
