But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you – Matthew 6:33

HHave you ever wondered about the young man in (Matthew 19:16-22) who walked away sadly from Jesus? A rich young man came to Jesus asking “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” This was a young man who had worked hard to follow God’s commandments but knew he was lacking something in order to enter into heaven. Have you ever felt that way? You go to church, obey your parents, try to do your best in school but you feel like you need to do more to please God. Jesus answered this man saying

“I“If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

But when the young man heard this, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Although he had been striving hard to please God from his youth, he became sad because he could not do what

Jesus was asking him to do. The riches he had seemed more important and precious to him than eternal life that Jesus could offer him. Do you love God more than all that you have? God is not looking for our riches neither does He delight in our sacrifices, He is looking for His children who love Him first; to love Him with ALL your heart, with ALLALL your soul and ALL your mind. This is the one thing that the young man could not do. God hasn’t changed His heart towards His people. From Genesis to Revelation this is one thing that God desires from all His servants- to be their first love.

In Genesis 22 we read

“Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” and he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt

offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

AfterAfter blessing Abraham with the promise that he was waiting for many years, God tests Abraham to see if Abraham loved God above the child that He gave him. Seeing that Abraham was willing to lay down his son, God mercifully spared Isaac and blessed Abraham abundantly because he did not withhold his only child from God. Our God is a rewarder of those who are faithful to Him, although He spared Isaac, God did not withhold His son Jesus from us. He loves us so dearly that He gave Himself as a sacrifice so that we can have eternal life and hence looking for our unreserved obedience to Him (John 14:23).

In speaking oIn speaking of the seven churches, Jesus says to the church of Ephesus

“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that

you have left your first love (Revelation 2:2-4)

HeHere we see a church that most of us would say is doing very well, they have been working hard, standing against evil, endured difficulties without becoming weary but… they lost their first love for God. Many times, people around us might appreciate us, our friends could look up to us but we need to spend time in God’s presence to know how God sees us and be willing to repent.

InIn the bible, we can see that this has been God’s heart throughout history yet many of us fail! I urge you to consider what you love the most, is it God and His kingdom or something else? In the world people might strive very hard to become successful; God is looking for those who love Him and are faithfulness to Him. Let God bless you on this new month!

Greetings to you all in the name of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ! As we enter this new month, I thank God for all His mercies which has led us so far. Today, I would like to share a thought on a topic that God has been putting in my heart – ‘Oneness of Heart’.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:26-28

InIn this above verse, Paul clearly states how, we being God’s children have become one in Christ. Nothing of this world should cause any difference between us; be a Jew or Greek, slave or free; male or female it does not make difference in the eyes of God. As God’s children, we ought to love each other and have unity amongst us by finding our true identity in Christ Jesus. This is also one of the prayers that Jesus prayed for us before He went to the cross. Jesus said “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that YouYou sent Me.” When we as the body of Christ unite together, the world will see it and believe that Jesus is Lord! Let us see few more examples from God’s word about unity and the blessings it brings.

1. Unity brings victory

Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers—they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing—and they

cried, “The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!” Judges 7:20

If you read this entire chapter, you will be able to understand how Gideon was continually guided by God how his obedience and their oneness with God brought this great victory.

2. Unity brings power

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided

tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. Acts 2:1-3

Behold, hBehold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.

Psalms 133

Let us make a decision to have oneness in our heart among our family members, friends and in church.

Have a blessed month!

The day of Pentecost is a great example of the unity. On that day when all disciples were gathered in one accord and prayed, suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind and filled the whole house where they were siting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Through oneness they all received the Holy Spirit. After this experience their ministry had completelycompletely changed, miracles and God’s power was revealed to everyone. When Peter was in prison, people gathered together in oneness and prayed and the prison doors were opened for Peter. So, unity of God’s children will bring deliverance to the captives and brings revival into our lives. It will also bring power and blessings to the church.

Initially thirty-two thousand men gathered to fight this battle, when whoever was fearful and afraid were asked to return, twenty-two thousand men returned while ten thousand remained. Out of these ten thousand men, God chose three hundred to join with Gideon on this battle. Although Gideon was afraid, he kept obeying God each time God spoke to him. Bible says the enemy’s camp with their camels was so huge, they were like locusts and their camels like sand by the seashore. IfIf you could picturize this, you can imagine the thoughts and fear that Gideon and his 300 men could have had. Yet to chose to stay united and cried out saying “The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!”. Their oneness with God and among themselves brought a mighty victory to their nation! In the same way, when you and I stand united as children of God, in Christ, God will help us see mighty victories in our lives too.

MEMORY VERSE“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Guide Abraham to the unknown land

What is faith? Bible says in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Whenever you think about faith, immediately you will remember about Abraham. In fact, Abraham is known as the Father of Faith. Why do you think Abraham is considered a great man of faith? Abraham lived in Israel thousands of years ago, and he had a special relationship with God. Abraham was a man who knew God personally and obeyed Him even when it was hard. He wasn’t perfect, but he was a faithful man who left an incredible faith story.

WhenWhen Abraham was living with his family, sudddenly the Lord commanded him to leave the place where he had grown up and settle in an area that God would show him. All of his life Abraham had lived in the same place. So it was not going to be easy for him to leave the life he knew, the family he loved, and the faith he had been raised on to move to a whole new place. This was a tough choice for Abraham! But Abraham didn’t let any of these things keep him from following God’s call.

EEven though he was not sure where God was going to lead him, Abraham chose to believe God and obeyed His voice. And because of that one decision, God accepted Abraham’s faith and gave him the Promised Land and the gift of righteousness.

Similarly, when you go through tough situations in your life, you have to decide to keep your faith on God and believe in Him, like Abraham did. When you are truthful in your faith, God will surely fulfill His promises in your life.

INCREDIBLE FAITH

“…“Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”Romans 10:11 (NKJV)

Believing in Jesus Christ is the basis of our Faith. The scripture says in Romans 10:9 if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart you will be saved. Salvation comes through our belief. When we believe in Him, we will not be put to shame. In this month’s promise message, we are going to see - in what we need to believe.

1.1. Believe in His word

“…say the word, and my servant will be healed.”Luke 7:7 (NKJV)

In Luke 7 we read about a centurion who sends elders of the Jews to Jesus so he can come and heal his servant. This servant was dear to the Centurion and he was sick and ready to die. The elders told Jesus that the Centurion was a good man and deserving because he built a synagogue for them. When Jesus went with them to go to the Centurion’s house, the Centurion sent friends to tell Jesus that he is not worthy that Jesus should come to his house and that is the reason whwhy he did not come to see Jesus himself. The Centurion then went on to say, “…But say the word, and my servant will be healed”. The Centurion explains this by stating that he too is a man of authority and when he instructs his servant to do something, they obey the same way he wanted Jesus to say the word for the sickness to obey. When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to the disciples who were with Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”Israel!” (Luke 7:9) See how much belief this centurion had on the word that was coming from Jesus? He said just say the word and my

PROMISE MESSAGE

servant will be healed. Today we too need to place our faith and belief on His word. When we put our faith on His word we will not be put to shame.

The scripture tells us that the word of the Lord will not return void. It will accomplish the work that it left to accomplish (Isaiah 55:11). There is power in the word of God. One word from Jesus Christ will calm the raging storm, cease the roaring waves and silence the wind (Matt 8:26-27). His word will rebuke the works of the enemy (Mark 1:25-26) and bring healing (Psalm 107:20). Therefore, believe in the word of God and He will fulfill all things for you.

“ Blessed is she “ Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”

Luke 1:45 (NKJV)

2. Believe in His power

“And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer;your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Luke 8:48 (NKJV)

Here we see Jesus Christ is healing a woman, this woman had an issue of blood for 12 years. She had gone to many physicians and was not healed. Because of this issue of blood, she had lost all her wealth trying to find a cure but she still was not healed. One day she purposed in her heart that she will touch at least the hem of Jesus’ garment and be healed. So even when there was a large multitudemultitude around Jesus, she reached out with faith and touched the hem of His garment. At once power left Jesus and healed her completely. With Jesus there is power to heal and deliver.

This woman believed in the power and was healed. At one time there were two blind people who came to Jesus for healing and Jesus saw them and asked, “…. Do you believe that I am able to do this?” and they replied, “…Yes, Lord”. Jesus said, “According to your faith let it be to you..” and immediately they received their sight (Math 9:28-30).

Today are you believing in the power of God? He is Almighty God and He is able to do great things. He has the power to change your lives. He has the power to heal and deliver you. Jesus wants to reveal His power to you. Therefore, believe in Him.

“Behold, I g“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy,

and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”Luke 10:19 (NKJV)

10

3. Believe in His Name

“And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness

in the presence of you all.”Acts 3:16 (NKJV)

WhenWhen Peter and John went to the temple of God. At the entrance was a beggar. The scripture tells us that this man was lame from the time he was in his mother’s womb. When he saw Peter and John, he wanted to receive something from them and asked them for alms. At that time Peter looked at him and said, ““Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:6) The lame man’s ankles, legs and bones received strength and he rose up and walked and jumped and entered the temple walking and praising God. At that time many lookedlooked at him with astonishment. Peter looked and asked, “…why do you marvel at this?..” . Peter then told the people that the lame was healed not by their own power or godliness but because of His name and belief in His name (Acts 3:16).

The name of Jesus Christ is a mighty name and His name is above all other names. At His name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). No power can stand in front of his name. When Goliath stood before David, David came against him in the name of Lord and therefore God brought Goliath under David’s feet. You too keep your faith in the name of Jesus and hold on to His name. He will go before you and He will bring every Goliath that is standing against you under your feet. Therefore, do not be discouraged. Let His name bring you victory.

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.”

Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV)

KKeep your faith in Christ and you will not be ashamed. He will bring healing and deliverance and victory in your life.

Let God alone bless you this month.11
