  pache Tears...

Heal Grief and Give Protection and Grounding

Apache Tear in Perlite

Apache Tears are a type of Black Obsidian, but they have a more friendly vibration than

some of the other types of Obsidian.

Maybe it is their strange out-of-shape appearance, that makes you comfortable with

them.

They are strong stones for grounding and protection, and to aid you to clear negative

emotions that may be holding you back.

They are volcanic stones, that may be partly transparent. Their color is very dark brown

to black in color.

These dark strange looking stones occur naturally in these odd shapes. They are not

altered but are natural crystals.

Where Do They Come From... pache Tears Meaning

They are a type of Black Obsidian Stone found in the south-western USA and Mexico.

The meaning of their name comes from an American Indian legend.

It was said that certain members of this tribe were pursued by the Cavalry, and although

they fought bravely they were outnumbered.

Rather than be captured they jumped off the cliff to their deaths. The distraught women

of the tribe cried dark tears of grief, which fell to the earth, and formed into these dark

strangely shaped stones.

It is believed that their tears formed into reality as these unusual stones, so people will

always remember what happened.

Why Would You Use Them

Apache Tears are powerful stones to use for psychic protection. They will raise your

ability to recognize the approach of menacing situations, where you may be at risk.

This is extremely useful if you are a healer, as they will aid your work by ensuring you

are kept safe.

Apache Tears, Group ofthree stones

Like other types of Black Obsidian, they will absorb negative energy. This makes

Apache Tears powerful tools to cleanse your auric field of negativity.

Their historical meaning is interesting, as these stones are powerful to heal you, if you

are feeling grief and emotional distress.

They are also strong stones for spiritual grounding, so use them after you have been

working with high vibration crystals.

Who Should Use It

These are very useful stones for anyone to use, but especially if

you are a healer. If you are doing any spiritual development work, there are strong advantages to using

these stones.

Their energy works within the base or root chakra, where it will move excess energy

down into the earth chakra for grounding with Mother Gaia.

The energy of these stones will strengthen the blood and the immune system, and they

will help the body to assimilate Vitamin C and D.

Their energy within the sacral or navel chakra helps to aid the removal of disharmonious

energies in relationships.

They assist with the reduction of toxins in the body by aiding their removal.

They may calm muscle spasms and enhance vitality and strength within the body.

They may bring through joy as they encourage you to feel more positive about life.

Within the heart chakra their energy will assist the emotional body to heal, from old

issues of an emotional nature.

Because they do absorb so much negativity, they will need to be regularly cleansed

using one of the methods to cleanse your crystals.

Wearing pache Tears

These unusual stones are on the birthstone list by month as they are a November

birthstone. Having jewelry made from these stones is an excellent idea, as you can

easily wear them and keep this excellent energy within your aura.

Apache Tear

Apache Tears do make lovely rings and pendants, because of their unusual shape

which makes them a striking and unique piece of birthstone jewelry.

They are also on the zodiac birthstone list and they are an Aries birthstone, so because

they are birthstones, you might expect to find them somewhere made into jewelry.

But if you can't get jewelry made from this stone, use a piece of stone instead.

I have some macrame stone holders, they have a slip knot so you can change the

stones. Works well to put stones in to wear, when I can't get jewelry.

These unusual shaped stones are fairly easy to buy, so this is an alternative to

jewelry. Keep one in your pocket each day, so that the energy remains within your auric

field.

You will need to cleanse them fairly often, but there are lots of advantages to having a

piece of stone that is both a spiritual grounding and psychic protection stone.

Friendly Stones That Ground Your Energy

pache Tears

are friendly stones that may be used to ground your energy and protect

you from negativity.

Although many people are drawn to the more spiritual stones, that work within the higher

chakras, these are very useful to add to your collection.

It is important to ensure that the physical body is kept healthy and that you remain

grounded to avoid health problems.

Apache Tears are natural forms of obsidian that are small in size found in many areas of

the world, but most commonly in Arizona and the Southwest USA. This is where they

get their name and where the legends were born. There are many variations of the myth

and legend, however they are all similar in that they represent the tears that the Apache

Woman cried for their men, lost in battle with the white soldiers.

These stories have been passed on for generations, and as a result, it is hard not to feel

the weight of history and legacy of battle that is infused in these small orbs of natural

obsidian. Part of the legend is that when given as a gift, they help to soften the sorrow

from grief or the rage against injustice. They represent the tears of many Apache

woman whose grief was so intense it hardened into glass, so that none would forget and

none would feel alone in their loss.

These small stones seem to shake the emotional body to the core. Apache Tears assist

in aligning and balancing the emotional body first, so that you can once again find a

stronger connection to your core and physical body. It helps to clear away negative

energies, without making the constricting emotions such as anger, rage, sorrow, or grief

wrong.

When these intense and constricting emotions can be felt in a clean way, without adding

blame, shame, guilt or other distorted emotions on top of them, it can be a very healing

process. Helping to access these pure emotions is something that Apache Tears can

help with. They meet you where you are at and make no demand for your loss or grief

to look a particular way or to define how long or short the duration of the experience

“should” be.

Apache Tears are not just helpful during times of loss. They can also be helpful in

helping you to connect to your spiritual and physical lineage, regardless of what that

may be. Many of us look for answers to our spiritual journey based on what we have

Page 13: Apache Tears

experienced in this lifetime. However, in most indigenous cultures and in many Eastern

belief systems they look forward (and back) seven generations. This is your physical

lineage and heritage. Add to that the spiritual belief that the Soul’s journey is through

multiple lifetimes.

If you feel a sting pull to Higher Guidance and a deeper connection to the Divine or

Source, yet your experiences from this lifetime are not quite satisfying, perhaps Apache

Tears would be a good ally during your times of meditation, prayer and/or spiritual study.

Properties:

  Clarity, Balance, Higher Guidance

Mohs Scale – Hardness 5 – 6

Apache Tears are a type of Obsidian, which appear rough and opaque at first glance,

but are often translucent when held up to a light source. Apache Tears are created when

hot lava is forced directly into the air and quickly solidifies before hitting the ground.

Made from the fire energy deep within the Earth, this mineral is wonderful at grounding

energies into the Earth before, during and after energy work. Apache Tears help one to

see into the core of an issue to assist with deep healing.

Apache Tears have an uncanny ability to lend support during times of sorrow. They will

gently help one to accept and then release their grief, thereby releasing and removing

blockages. Apache Tears can help to relieve stress by bringing opportunities for positive

change into one's sights so they can formulate a plan of action. This can bring a sense

of hope to a dire circumstance. Apache Tears can also enhance one's logical thinking

skills, which can open new doors for success. Many work with these stones to facilitate

spontaneity in many different areas in life.

Carry an Apache Tear in your pocket as protection from all types of negative energies,

including psychic attacks. The Apache Tear will help to remove and transmute these

Page 14: Apache Tears

energies, clearing the way for more positive vibrations. They help to ground spiritual

experiences into the physical, helping one to integrate these experiences into the

everyday life. This grounding energy can also help one to realize the importance of all

frequencies, and to not limit oneself to only the higher energies of this existence. They

can also help one to connect with nature.

Physically, Apache Tears are often used for the calming of muscle spasms,

detoxification of the body, and absorption of vitamins. They can also enhance the

immune system and fortify the body.

Apache Tears are a type of Obsidian and carry many of the same qualities as regular

Black Obsidian. In general, Obsidian is a very grounding and protective stone. It is used

as a great cleanser of negative energies, helping to remove not only negativity

experienced in the environment, but also that of one's own emotions, such as anger,

jealousy, greed, resentment, etc. Obsidian is often used for healing and releasing

energy blockages, and has a tendency to work quickly to move truths to the surface to

be resolved.

Apache Tears are the perfect piece for pocket, medicine bag or crystal pouch. Toss a

few in the tub for a relaxing soak which will help to remove toxins. A wonderful stone to

use in conjunction with other stones in grids or healing/body work.

Question:  What is a source of strength for you during times of grief?

Obsidian Gemstone meaning

With its glassy luster, obsidian is a distinctive stone. Obsidian is formed as lava from

volcanic eruptions cools within the earth. The speed at which it cools prevents

crystallization and the rock forms as solid volcanic glass.

Although its most common color is black, obsidian can also be found in light brown,

brown mottled with black, and black with a beautiful golden or silvery sheen. Snowflake

obsidian is dotted with white patches where parts of the rock have begun to crystallize.

The most prized obsidian by gemologists is the rainbow obsidian variety with purple,

green and gold bands of sheen.

Obsidian was revered by ancient cultures. It was one of the major barter materials, and

prized for its ability to be worked to razor-sharp edges for arrows and spears. It hasbeen used since prehistoric times for making tools, masks, weapons, mirrors and

 jewelry.

Healing properties of Obsidian

Obsidian helps to protect the very sensitive against depression. It is the stone of the soft

hearted and gentle people of the world. Use obsidian to help block negativity of any

kind. As a black gemstone, it symbolizes self control and resilience. Black stones have

protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be

used to create invisibility.

Sources of Obsidian

Obsidian can be found anywhere that volcanic activity has occurred. Some of its

important sources today are South America, Japan, Mexico, Afghanistan, and parts of

the United States. The San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona, United States,

produces an interesting banded variety of obsidian known as "Apache Tears".
