INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING INSTALLING LATEST APP MARKET

AND ANDROID MARKET ON THE NEOPAD SERIES OF

ANDROID TOUCH TABLETS & GBOOK A7650 / A1050 NETBOOKS

Spotbuy is always striving to improve all its products, and from �me to �me, new Firmware Updates, so�wares and

applica�ons are being released.

From �me to �me, the so�ware Companies make changes to their products and in the case of Applica�on Markets, change the

loca�on of the main servers they are use etc.

This document will explain the method to install the latest App Market and Android Market applica�ons on:-

NEOPAD 8650 - 7” ANDROID TOUCH TABLET

NEOPAD 1050 - 10” ANDROID TOUCH TABLET

NEOPAD M902 - 10” ANDROID TOUCH TABLET

GBOOK 7650 - 7” ANDROID NETBOOK

GBOOK 1050 - 10” ANDROID NETBOOK

Please note, these programs are not compa�ble with previous or any other Neopad or Gbook models.

Ge"ng the files you need:-

• Please go to this link on Spotbuy.com.au and download the file to your PC. It is called Marketupdate.zip

• Unzip the file to your PC hard drive and you see these files / folder:-

Appmarket42.2nov2011.apk - This is App Market

market4android22 - This is a folder which contains the files necessary for

Android Market

• Make sure you know exactly where on your hard drive you have stored all the files. We suggest you store them neatly all

in one folder on your PC.

• Copy the file Appmarket42.2nov2011.apk and the folder market4android22 to THE ROOT DIRECTORY of a micro SD card

(also known as TF card) for the Neopad Models, or to a normal SD card for GBooks. Or, you can copy the files to a USB

memory s�ck. DO NOT UNZIP THE DIRECTORY market4android22 AS INDIVIDUAL FILES ONTO YOUR SD CARD. IT MUST

REMAIN IN TACT AS A DIRECTORY!

Installing App Market:-

• Insert the SD or Micro SD card into the machine. Make sure you follow the instruc�ons in the manual for the correct

procedure. MAKE SURE YOU INSERT THE CARD STRAIGHT AND DO NOT JAM THE CARD IN UPSIDE DOWN. The card

should always slide in smoothly and you will a “click” when it is seated in the slot.

Connect your USB Memory s�ck in the normal manner

• Select File Browser on your unit and navigate to the SD card or USB S�ck

• Select Appmarket42.2nov2011.apk

• Please re-boot your device

• You will see this screen if App Market is already installed on your device, Click OK

• Then, you will see this screen … Press Install

• When the install is finished, you will see this screen:

• Press Done. You will now see the APP Market icon on your device in the programs screen. It will not be on the opening

screen of your unit unless you drag it these in the normal manner.

Installing Android Market:-

Please be advised that we cannot support Android Market and the Neopad is not adver@sed as having

it installed, however, this document has been created in an effort to help our end users:

• Insert the SD card or USB Drive into your unit. This is the card you copied the downloaded files to.

MAKE SURE THE SD CARD HAS THE FOLDER market4android22 IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY OF THE SD CARD …. Which

contains the 5 x files needed for this install:-

GoogleServicesFramework.apk

Install.sh

Readme.txt

Uninstall.sh

Vending.apk

DO NOT UNZIP THE 5 X FILES ON THE ROOT DIRECTORY OF THE SD CARD. IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS:-

• Select File Browser on your unit , MAKE SURE you have pressed the SD CARD icon and navigate to the folder:

market4android22

• Open the folder and select the file:- install.sh.

• You will not any menus or displays on your unit, however, it will be installing.

• Allow 30 seconds for the program to install.

• You will then see the Android Market icon on your program list

• Please re-boot your device

• When opera�ng Android Market, please note:-

You must have a Google Account—If you do not have one, go to Google and open an account (its free) and you will

then have your GMAIL email address and the password you used when you opened the account.

• Then, when you operate Android Market, you will be asked to “log in”. Input your GMAIL email address and your

password.

Note:-

Android Market is very popular web site and o�en is running at capacity. The first �me you operate Android Market,

it may take some �me and may report back “our servers are busy, please try again later”. Just keep trying un�l you

get thru.
