INTRODUCTION The “Mobility” feature that comes as part of the TrendServer Pro allows the user to view the TMS data remotely via ‘TrendView Remote IQ’ mobile application. Using “TrendView Remote IQ” app users can view recorders real time pen data, historical pen data, alarms, status information, messages and diagnostics available in TMS on iOS devices. The TrendView Remote IQ mobile app can be installed only on iOS devices from App Store. Ensure that the iOS device is connected to the network in which TMS Server is available through a Wi-Fi router. Language Support: The “TrendView Remote IQ” mobile application supports only English language.

Network & Domain Setup For a Secure Channel Communication, we need a Certificate to be installed in the Client (iOS Device) as well as the Server (TMS Server). With Certificate enabled iOS communicates with TMS Server only with FQDN. Domain Controller and DNS Server are required for this purpose to translate the Computer name to IP Address. Router should be configured for the network communication between iOS device and TMS Server.

Digital Certificate To achieve secure communication between TMS Server and TrendView Remote IQ application we need a certificate issued by a Certificate Authority. To obtain CA certificate we need the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) of the TMS Server. Refer below screen for obtaining the FQDN.

This CA certificate needs to be installed on the Domain Controller and TMS Server.

The CA certificate is a critical asset from security perspective and should be restricted from unauthorized access within the network.

Steps to request and Install Global CA certificate: 1. Refer to Procedure to create a CSR to request CA Certificate on page 13

2. Obtain CA certificate from Certificate Authority like Digicert or any other Global CA available.

Apply https://www.digicert.com
