DYER.-Francis Norman Victor Dyer, who died on Jan. 24th from scarlet fever, was educated at Marlborough and Clare College, Cambridge, taking the Conjoint qualification in January, 1918, and the M.A., M.B., B.Ch. of his University in October last. When war broke out he served as a dresser in the lst Eastern Hospital, Cambridge, he was six months a surgeon- probationer on H.M.S. Buttercup, then resident anaathetist and casualty officer at St. Thomas’s Hospital, afterwards surgeon R.N. on H.M.S. Birkenhead until the surrender of the German Fleet, when he transferred to the R.A.F., and was a member of the Invaliding Medical Board at Hamp- stead. Demobilised at the end of October, he was assistant medical officer at the London Fever Hospital, where he died.
