World Psychiatric Association A legal sub-committee has been set up which as its first task will propose procedure for the committee to review the abuse of psychiatry for political reasons, which was established by a resolution passed at a meeting of the Association’s general assembly in Honolulu last year. The chairman of the sub-com- mittee is Mr Anthony McNutty (director, British Institute of Human Rights) and the members are Dr Karl-Aaag Norgaard (Denmark) and Mr Brendan Kiernan (Republic of Ireland).
