Dear Division 27,
Hello! If you haven't met me
yet, my name is Kristi Chan
and I will be serving as your
Lieutenant Governor for 2012-
2013! I hope you all had a great
time at DCON, because I know
I did! It was a pleasure meeting
you all and I look forward
working with all of the new of-
ficers! Some general infor-
mation about myself, I am from
Lake Washington High School
and currently a Junior. During
the 2011-2012 year I was the
Bulletin Editor of my club and
really enjoyed it. With Con-
nie’s encouragement, I ran for
Lieutenant Governor, and here
I am!
If you didn't know already, our
division consist of seven clubs:
Bothell, Eastlake, ICS, Ingle-
moor, Juanita, Lake Washing
ton, and Redmond. Through-
out the year I would love our
Division to grow and charter
more clubs. So one of my goals
for this year is to charter
Woodinville into our division.
I would also like for everyone
to attend the monthly DCMs,
Seattle rally, and have all of our
clubs apply for awards and get
Early Bird at DCON.
I am really excited to meet eve-
ryone else and looking forward
to a successful year!
With Love and Service,

What is Key Leader?
Key Leader is a weekend leadership program for to-
day’s young leaders. This life-changing event focuses on
service leadership as the first, most meaningful leader-
ship development experience.
There will be large and small group workshops and
team building activities. Students will be able to learn
leadership skills that will help them change their schools,
communities, and world for the better. You will meet

Farewell
Dear Division 27,
Has it really been a year since I was the innie work-
ing on my first newsletter?! It’s ridiculous how
quickly my term has gone by and I would like to
thank each and every person that has helped me on
this journey. I have been enlightened to better my-
self as an individual in society. In the future, I hope
to develop myself forever as a servant leader, humbly
leading for the betterment of the world. From your
year of serving this organization, I hope you will al-
ways keep in your heart and minds that lending a
hand, no matter how insignificant you might
think it is, truly makes a difference. It only takes
a small group of caring individuals to create posi-
tive change for society. We have only two and a
half months of school left so make the most out
of your year, always making sure to be caring, in-
clusive and positive. Despite how easy it may be
to slack on Key Club or other commitments, re-
sist the temptation and just keep yourself going.
Even after your year with Key Club is over, find
other organizations which compel you and get
involved with people who you are comfortable
with. And with that, I bid adieu for you all as I
am confident that Kristi will bring me and Divi-
sion 27 pride as we underdogs take PNW District
by storm.
With Love and Service,
Connie Kim

Last Minute Tips & Tricks!
Don’t get so hung up on superficial problems. Yes,
they may seem like a big problem at the moment
but think ahead in your future. Will this problem
REALLY be such a big deal then?
Relax and drink lots of water! Also, try to get some of
that Vitamin D!
Be nice.
“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. For-
give them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior
motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest
anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be
happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomor-
row. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never
be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.”
