Walter’s Word – Association

This month’s word of “Word-Association” is “Reunion.” Currently I’m working on getting together with my old High School Baseball team. Ten years ago we all met to spend the day together and then watch the current team play a game. Hard to believe it’s been 10 years! So as many of us that can will be reuniting to watch this year’s team and to catch up and tell old glory stories. Reunions – they can be fun, and then there are some that are not so joyful. It’s amazing how time goes by between reunions. You know where this is going don’t you… there is a reunion that is coming for each of us. And the word joyful doesn’t seem to do it justice. A moment when we will be reunited with family and friends in the glories of Heaven. To top it off, it won’t even be those reunions that mean the most to us. The completeness of our joy when in that moment we see Jesus face to face! As Christian singer, songwriter and guitar playing genius Phil Keaggy sings “What a Day!” And as the more recently popular group Mercy Me, sings “I can only imagine” which by the way is a movie you should go see. For now we imagine, but on that day our imagination will be blown away with reality! Seeing Jesus, the majesty of Heaven, and yes, a great reunion with loved ones. “What a day that will be!”
