    USAGE IDEAS:

I am sure there are thousands of ideas on how you could use these fromsimply using them as coloring pages or tracing learning pages to some of theuses listed below. Feel free to suggest any ideas that you have found useful.

Need paper plates. Have your child color the rabic lphabet letters.

Find pictures either in maga!ines or online and paste them to cardstoc" orinde# cards to ma"e less flimsy. $ut out around the picture. %a"e twopaper plates and staple them together& facing one another 'only staple onthe bottom and around the sides leave the top open to use li"e anenvelope. If you(d li"e& you can cut out an oval or other shape 'not toolarge) on the top of the front plate. %hen& cut out and glue the rabic letterto the front paper plate. s an activity& have your child place the picturesin the appropriate paper plates. For beginners& I would suggest giving

your child three or more pictures some of which belong in the plate andsome that do not. %hen& have your child place the appropriate pictures inthe paper plate envelope. lso& for beginners& when you ma"e the cards&you might want to actually write on the card 'below the picture) the actualname of the ob*ect showing that it starts with a particular letter until yourchild becomes more familiar.

+sing glitter& macaroni& string or other craft items& create a poster for the

rabic lphabet letter. ,et your child decorate the letter and draw picturesof items that begin with that letter.

+sing old maga!ines& ma"e a learning poster for your child. Have yourchild color the letter and then have your child find pictures that start withthe letter. llow your child to glue the pictures to the poster.

For a child interested in ta"ing pictures with a camera& you can always

have your child go around the house or around the neighborhood to ta"epictures of items that start with a particular letter. %hen you can have yourchild decorate a scrapboo" or binder first with a colored or designed'glitter glue& etc) alphabet page followed with the pictures they have ta"en.

If you use learning posters or the paper plate envelopes& you can easily

e#pand the lessons by using your rabic -ovable lphabet. imply placethe movable alphabet out for your child and have them write out thewords. -ind you& in the beginning I would suggest simply using the lettersthat are used in the word. In time& you can add more letters to yourmovable alphabet 'the beginning& middle and ending forms of the letters).I "now it may sound strange& but I have seen many rabic boo"s use this

method in the beginning to teach children the letters and how they soundin words.

If you really want to be creative 'and have the time) you can use these

letters as templates to ma"e felt board letters to teach your child. 0ou can

still use the pictures your child has either drawn or cut out 'preferablypasted to an inde# card or cardstoc" 'or you can ma"e new ones for thispurpose). imply put a small amount of elcro on the bac" of the pictureto allow it to stic" to the felt board and you can use this as another methodto reinforce the alphabet with your child.

$olor the letters and glue. 2ither use 'as is) or glue to more sturdy paper.

Place a few letters around your room. $all out a letter and have your childrun to where that letter is located. 0ou could also do this activity outside.

$reate a boo" for each letter 'or put them all in a binder separated by

letter. If you want to create a boo"& simply staple the pages together orglue onto nice construction paper and then staple pages behind it. Haveyour child put in their boo"4 pictures that start with that letter not onlyhave a picture of the item& but also write out the name. %hey can eitherdraw the pictures or find them in a maga!ine. If you read stories to yourchild in rabic& or learn vocabulary you can always add to your boo" asyour child learns new words.

For active learners& you can have your child color the letter and either

paste the letter to a paper plate or to a piece of paper. %hen& placeseveral paper plates around the room. Have several pictures of ob*ects

that start with those specific letters and mi# them up. 2ither have yourchild pic" a picture or show your child a picture and have them run to theletter plate that the picture starts with. %his activity can also be doneoutside.
