Are You Planning to Retire in 1987? If so, please remember that all re- quests to have membership status changed from Active to Retired, must be received at the Central Office by October 1, 1987. Those requests received by this date will be voted upon by the Board of Directors at its next meeting in October.

To qualify for Retired status, an in- dividual must have been an Active member of the AAE in good standing for ten consecutive years, and must be completely retired from teaching and/or practice. (AAE Bylaws Chapter I., Section 6.)

Life membership in the AAE is also available to a member who has been an Active member for twenty-five con- secutive years, and who has attained the age of sixty-five. (AAE Bylaws Chapter I., Section 5.)
