RESIDENZA UNIVERSITARIA “CASA DELLO STUDENTE”: NUOVA COSTRUZIONE IMPIANTI SPORTIVI E DI SERVIZIO PRESSO L’AREA DEL CS GIURIATI

CAMPUS LEONARDO, EDIFICIO 21, RIQUALIFICAZIONE DEGLI UFFICI AL PRIMO E SECONDO PIANOL’intervento Ausiliario di cui all’oggetto si riferisce essenzialmente all’esecuzione di opere di Straordinaria Manutenzione da eseguirsi nei locali posti al primo piano dell’Edificio 21 (ex Edificio 34) nel “Campus Bassini” del Politecnico di Milano. Nello specifico si sono rese necessarie opere, sia civili che impiantistiche, mirate al recupero e all’adegua-mento della totalità dei locali posti al suddetto piano.

Sono state concluse le opere di rimozione dei controsoffitti in doghe esistenti ed il loro rifacimento con pannelli in fibra minerale, il completo rifacimento degli impianti elettrico, dati ed antincendio, la demolizione e successiva ricostruzione di alcuni divisori interni, la sostituzione dei diffusori dell’impianto CDZ, ecc.

CAMPUS LEONARDO, BUILDING 21, FIRST AND SECOND FLOOR OFFICES REDEVELOPMENTThe intervention referred to Auxiliary object refers essentially to the execution of works of extraordinary Maintenance to be carried out in places on the first floor of the building 21 (former 34 Building) in “Campus Bassini” of Politecnico di Milano. Specifically, works were needed both civil and engineering, aimed at the recovery and adaptation of all places in the local plan.

Were completed the works like the removal of existing staves countertops and remade with mineral fibre panels, the complete reconstruction of electric, data and fire protection systems, the demolition and subsequent reconstruction of some internal partitions, repla-cing the system speaker CDZ, etc.

Il nuovo laboratorio di Ateneo denominato POLIFAB si trova nell’edificio 30, via Co-lombo 81. Al piano seminterrato è stata realizzata una Cleanroom (mq 400 classifi-cati ISO 6 e ISO 8) e sono stati recuperati altri locali adiacenti per attività di supporto alla Cleanroom. Allo stesso piano seminterrato è stato realizzato il laboratorio NABIS di Polifab (mq 100), mentre al piano rialzato, sono stati completati circa mq 250 tra laboratori, uffici e spazi di servizio.

Il lavoro è in fase di collaudo.

MILANO CITTÀ STUDI CAMPUS, PIAZZA LEONARDO DA VINCI 32, “KREMLIN” BUILDING, CONSTRUCTION OF A POLIFAB LABORATORY

The new campus POLIFAB laboratory is located in Building 30, via Colombo 81. The basement has been fitted out with a Clean room (400 sq.m category ISO 6 and ISO 8) and other adjacent rooms have been restored for Clean room support activities. The basement now also houses the Polifab NABIS laboratory (100 sq.m), while the 250 sq.m mezzanine floor were completed house laboratories, offices and services.

The works are currently in the inspection phase.



POLO DI MILANO BOVISA - CAMPUS LA MASA-LAMBRUSCHINI - EDIFICIO 28 - REALIZZAZIONE NUOVO EDIFICIOL’intervento ha previsto nella realizzazione del nuovo edificio da destinare a laboratori integrati di tecnologie e processi chimici di ingegneria nucleare e delle radiazioni e di due fabbricati uno per il laboratorio per sperimentazioni di irraggiamento e locali di servizio ed uno quale laboratorio alte pressioni.

Il lavoro è in fase di collaudo.

MILANO BOVISA CAMPUS - LA MASA-LAMBRUSCHINI CAMPUS - BUILDING 28 - CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BUILDINGThe works provided the construction of a new building to house the integrated nucle-ar engineering technologies and radiation-chemical processes laboratories and two other buildings, one for the radiation experimentation laboratory and ancillary rooms and one for the high pressure laboratory.

RESIDENZA UNIVERSITARIA “A. LOOS” - LECCOL’intervento di realizzazione della residenza per studenti prevede il recupero del corpo principale dell’edificio storico urbano dell’ex ospedale di Lecco che insiste sulla via Ghislanzoni.Obiettivo dell’intervento è quello di creare un campus universitario che, accanto ai luo-ghi per la didattica e la ricerca (Nuovo Polo Universitario del Polo Territoriale di Lecco), risolva l’annoso problema dell’accoglienza che da sempre ha costituito per il Politecnico a Lecco un vincolo importante.La scelta di localizzare la residenza universitaria nell’edificio principale dell’ex Ospeda-le nasce inoltre dalla volontà di creare un legame forte tra la città e l’università, secondo le linee che hanno condotto tutto il progetto della nuova sede universitaria. Infatti la residenza costituirà, per posizione e destinazione di alcuni spazi collettivi, l’elemento di connessione tra la formazione e la ricerca e i punti più significativi della città di Lecco. La residenza è stata inaugurata il 20 marzo 2015.

“A. LOOS” STUDENT RESIDENCE, LECCOOff-campus housing will be constructed by converting a historical building in the city: the main block of the former Lecco Hospital in Via Ghislanzoni.The goal of the project is to create a campus that not only includes teaching and research facilities (New Lecco University Campus), but also solves the age-old problem of student accommodation, which has always been a major limitation of the Lecco campus.The choice to locate student housing in the former main building of the hospital is due to the wish to form a strong bond between the city and the university, based on the guideli-nes underlying the plans for the new campus. The position of the student housing and the public spaces in it will provide a link between the world of education and research and some of the most important places in the town of Lecco.

This housing was inaugurated on march 20th 2015.




POLO DI MILANO BOVISA - VIA LA MASAEDIFICIO 14A - EDIFICIO LABORATORIOL’edificio è destinato all’installazione di un calorimetro calibrato a due camere finaliz-zato a testare climatizzatori, refrigeratori di liquido, pompe di calore e componenti idronici per dipartimento di energia

L’edificio è stato ultimato a giugno ed è in fase di collaudo.

Presso il Laboratorio del piano terra è stato installato il primo calorimetro ad oggi operativo ed accreditato.

MILANO BOVISA CAMPUS - VIA LA MASABUILDING 14A - LABORATORY BUILDINGThe building will be used to house a calibrated two-room calorimeter for testing air conditioning, liquid coolers, heat pumps and hydronic components for the Energy Department

The building was completed in June and is in testing phase.

At the Laboratory of the ground floor the first calorimeter is installed and it’s operational and accredited.




L’intervento nasce dalle condizioni fatiscenti in cui versava l’Edificio 4, i cui locali non venivano ristrutturati ormai da parecchi decenni. Parte dell’edificio, inoltre, era occupato dal Dipartimento di Energia,trasferito presso un nuovo edificio della sede di Bovisa. Il trasferimento di cui sopra ha consentito la razionalizzazione e rifunzionalizzazione degli spazi che saranno occupati interamente dal DICA. L’intervento consente la messa a norma degli spazi che verranno ristrutturati e la realizzazione di tutti i nuovi impianti a servizio.Gli obiettivi principali dell’intervento sono:- il restauro e il recupero formale e architettonico dell’edificio;- la ridistribuzione funzionale degli spazi adeguandoli alle mutate esigenze del Dipartimento;- la messa a norma dell’edificio dal punto di vista strutturale, con riferimento all’antisismica;- la messa a norma dell’edificio dal punto di vista della prevenzione incendi;- il miglioramento del “comfort” ambientale sia durante il periodo estivo che durante il periodo invernale e delle condizioni igienico sanitarie mediante la realizzazione di impianti di raffrescamento e di condizionamento dell’aria;- il contenimento dei consumi energetici;- il miglioramento del “comfort” acustico;- il miglioramento del “comfort” luminoso;- il miglioramento della accessibilità degli spazi e l’adeguamento alle normative vigenti in materia;- il miglioramento della sicurezza degli spazi dal punto di vista antinfortunistico;- il restauro e rinnovo delle finiture.

L’intervento è il primo lotto della ristrutturazione che riguarda l’intero edificio. Il primo lotto riguarda per la maggior parte dell’estensione dello stesso, gli spazi precedentemente occupati dal Dipartimento di Energia e spazialmente le porzioni est e nord dell’edificio.

I lavori sono stati consegnati nel luglio del 2013. Sono state eseguite tutte le demolizioni ed in particolare quelle di un sopralzo dell’ala est. Sono state realizzate tutte le nuove strutture quali un nuovo piano ammezzato, scale ed ascensore. Sono state realizzate tutte le distribuzioni principali degli impianti. Sono in corso di esecuzione le opere di finitura.


SEDE CITTÀ STUDI, PIAZZA LEONARDO DA VINCI 32 - RESTAURO, RISTRUTTURAZIONE, RECUPERO FUNZIONALE ED ADEGUAMENTO NORMATIVO DELL’EDIFICIO 4 SEDE DEL D.I.I.A.R. – LOTTO 1

CITTÀ STUDI CAMPUS, PIAZZA LEONARDO DA VINCI 32 - RENOVATION, REPAIRS, FUNCTIONAL RESTORATION AND UPDATING TO STANDARDS OF BUILDING 4 ON THE D.I.I.A.R. CAMPUS – LOT 1The works are the result of the dilapidated condition of Building 4, the rooms of which had not been renovated for several decades. Part of the building had, in fact, been occupied by the Energy Department, which has since moved to a new facility at the Bovisa campus. This move has allowed the spaces in the building to be rationalised and functionally restructured for occupation entirely by DICA. The works consist of updating the interior spaces to current standards through restoration work and the installation of new service plant.The primary objectives of the project are:- formal and architectural restoration and repair of the building;- functional redistribution of the interior spaces to meet the changing needs of the Department;- compliance with current standards from a structural point of view, with particular reference to seismic activity;- compliance with current standards from a fire-prevention point of view;- improvements to living comfort, both during the summer and winter periods, and to the sanitary/hygiene facilities through the installation of air conditioning and cooling plants;- reduce energy consumption;- improve acoustic comfort;- improve lighting comfort;- improve accessibility to the interior spaces and update to current standards governing access;- improve the health and safety aspects of interior spaces;- restoration and repair of finishes.

The works constitute the first phase in the restoration of the entire building. This first phase involves most of the building, i.e. the spaces previously occupied by the Energy Department and the eastern and northern parts.

The works were handed over in July 2013. All the demolition work has been completed including, in particular, the vertical extension on the east wing. All the new structures have been completed, i.e. the new mezzanine floor, stairway and lift. All the main service distribution lines have been installed. Finishing works are currently in progress.

SEDE MILANO CITTÀ STUDI E BOVISA, SICUREZZA, ADEGUAMENTO NORMATIVO SCALEIl lavoro prevede la realizzazione di nuove scale esterne di sicurezza per la messa a norma degli Edifici 3 del Campus Leonardo e 24 del Campus Golgi Clericetti.

In particolare presso l’Edificio 3 saranno realizzati 3 nuovi corpi scala interni che serviranno il piano primo al cortile ed un corpo scala esterno che giungerà sino a l secondo livello. Presso l’Edificio 24 verrà realizzato un unico corpo scala.

Il progetto è stato approvato dai VVF e dalla Soprintendenza (solo Edificio 3) ed è stato recentemente appaltato; i lavori sono stati avviati nel mese di aprile 2015.

La fine lavori è prevista per il mese di dicembre 2015.

MILANO CITTÀ STUDI AND BOVISA CAMPUSES, SAFETY, UPDATING OF STAIRWAYS TO CURRENT STANDARDSThe works include the construction of new external fire escapes designed to render Buildings 3 of Leonardo Campus and 24 of Golgi Clericetti Campus compliant with current standards.

In particular, Building 3 will be provided with 3 new internal stairways serving the first floor from the courtyard and one external stairway serving the second floor. A single stairway will be installed in Building 24.

The project has been approved by the Fire Service and by the relevant “Sopraintendenza” authorities (Building 3 only) and recently put out to tender. The work started in April 2015.

The completion of works is planned for the month of December 2015.

AREA TECNICO EDILIZIATRIGENERAZIONEL’intervento prevede i seguenti macro interventi nella Centrale Termica principale sita in via Golgi,20 –Mi, a servizio di tutti gli edifici dei Campus Leonardo, Bonardi e Bassini :1.sostituzione dei n.3 generatori di vapore esistenti con nuovi generatori di calore ad acqua calda dalla potenzialità termica ridotta di 6 MWt cad. ad alto rendimento, abbinati con bruciatori a gas metano del tipo modulante a basse emissioni NOx;2. nuovo impianto di Cogenerazione con installazione di un trigeneratore alimentato a gas metano dalla potenzialità di 2MWe e 1,8MWt e di un gruppo refrigerante ad assorbimento con potenzialità 1,2MWf con relativa torre evaporativa di raffreddamento.

Inoltre sugli impianti esistenti saranno realizzati i seguenti interventi: 3. Declassamento dell’attuale rete di teleriscaldamento da acqua surriscaldata a 150°C ad acqua calda a 90°C; 4. Riqualificazione delle n.20 sottocentrali di scambio termico a servizio di tutti gli edifici dei Campus Leonardo, Bonardi e Bassini con la sostituzione degli scambiatori di calore esistenti ad acqua surriscaldata con nuovi scambiatori del tipo a piastre funzionanti ad acqua calda ;5. Realizzazione nuova rete di teleriscaldamento e teleraffreddamento nel Campus Bassini per il funzionamento ad acqua calda in inverno e acqua refrigerata in estate a servizio degli edifici 19-20 e 21.

L’energia termica prodotta dal cogeneratore sarà utilizzata, nella stagione invernale, in supporto ai nuovi generatori di calore , mentre nella stagione estiva, garantirà l’energia termica necessaria per il funzionamento del gruppo frigorifero ad assorbimento per raffrescare gli edifici 19-20 e 21 evitando l’accensione degli esistenti gruppi frigoriferi con conseguente riduzione dei consumi elettrici. Tutto ciò consentirà di sfruttare al meglio l’energia prodotta dal cogeneratore con conseguente riduzione dei costi per l’approvvigionamento dell’energia termica ed elettrica ed al contempo ottenere un abbattimento della CO2 prodotta per soddisfare i fabbisogni energetici degli edifici del Politecnico.

TRIGENERATIONThe intervention consists of the following macro actions in the main thermal power station located in via Golgi 20, at the service of all buildings of the Campus Leonardo, Bonardi and Bassini: 1. replacing the No. 3 steam generators with new heat generators to warm water from the thermal potential of 6 MWt cad. high yield, combined with gas burners of type low NOx modulating;2. new cogeneration plant with a gas powered trigeneratore the potential of 8MWt 2MWe and 1, and an absorption cooling unit with 1, 2MWf with potential for evaporative cooling tower.

Also on existing plants will be made the following interventions: 3. Downgrading the existing district heating network by superheated water at 150° C for hot water at 90° C; 4. Upgrading of no. 20 heat exchange substations to the service of all the buildings of the Campus Leonardo, Bonardi and Bassini with the replacement of the existing heat exchangers for superheated water with new plate type heat exchan-gers operating in hot water; 5. Making new district heating and cooling network in Campus Bassini for hot water in winter and chilled water in summer to buildings 19, 20 and 21.

The thermal energy produced by the cogenerator, will be used in winter, in support of new generators of heat, while in the summer, will provide the thermal energy necessary for operation of the absorption refrigeration unit to cool the buil-dings 19-20 and 21 while avoiding the ignition of the existing chillers with consequent reduction in power consumption. RESIDENZA UNIVERSITARIA “CASA DELLO STUDENTE”MILANOLa «Casa dello Studente» è già stata sottoposta ad interventi di ristrutturazione delle facciate, adeguamento normativo degli impianti e di recupero degli spazi interni che hanno permesso di rendere disponibili 293 posti alloggio.Sono state riqualificate le cucine per accogliere circa il 50% dell’utenza complessiva.E’ in corso l’ampliamento tramite sopraelevazione di tre piani del corpo di fabbrica interno al cortile destinato ad auditorium-palestra, che determinerà l’incremento di 40 posti alloggio. La residenza sarà completamente attiva a partire da settembre 2015.

“CASA DELLO STUDENTE” STUDENT RESIDENCE, MILANThe “Casa dello Studente” student residence has been undergoing restoration of its façade, adaptation of technical installations to regulations and remodeling of its layout, making 293 beds available.The kitchens were upgraded to serve about 50% of all users.Three more floors are being added to the building in the courtyard to make space for an auditorium and gym, and will be created 40 more beds.

The housing will be completely active by september 2015.




RESIDENZA UNIVERSITARIA “I. NEWTON” - MILANOL’intervento consiste nella ristrutturazione edilizia ed impiantistica degli spazi interni fina-lizzata all’adeguamento tecnologico e funzionale dell’edificio esistente, nonché all’ab-battimento delle barriere architettoniche, nel rispetto delle caratteristiche morfologiche e architettoniche originarie e dei volumi esistenti.E’ inoltre prevista la riqualificazione architettonica ed impiantistico/energetica dell’in-volucro esterno.

Sono in fase di ultimazione le demolizioni interne e successivamente saranno avviate le attività di costruzione delle partizioni interne.

“I. NEWTON” STUDENT RESIDENCE, MILANThe project involves renovation of the building’s interior and technical systems to permit technological and functional adaptation of the existing building and elimination of archi-tectural barriers without altering the building’s existing morphology, architectural features and layout.The project also includes architectural and energetic upgrading of the building’s façades.

PARETO” - MILANOIl progetto consiste nella demolizione dell’edificio scolastico esistente dismesso e nella nuova costruzione di un edificio articolato in due corpi di fabbrica: il prisma lineare e la torre sono destinati agli alloggi e interconnessi al piano terra da un corpo basso contenente i servizi comuni (culturali, didattici e ricreativi).Le aree esterne saranno principalmente destinate a giardini pubblici aperti al quartie-re, in modo da garantire la massima fruibilità degli spazi comuni e la permeabilità tra il nuovo intervento e il tessuto urbano circostante. Si sono svolte due Conferenze di servizi ai fini del rilascio del titolo autorizzativo. È in fase di emissione il Permesso di costruire. È stata ultimata la prima fase dei lavori di bonifica ambientale, demolizione e scavo. Verranno avviate la seconda fase dei lavori di demolizione e scavo e i lavori di costruzione a valle del rilascio del Permesso di costruire.

“V. PARETO” STUDENT RESIDENCE, MILAN The project involves the demolition of an old school which is no longer in use and construction of a new building in two blocks, a linear prism and a tower, containing apartments and linked at the ground floor by a lower block containing common areas (cultural, educational and recreational facilities).The outdoor areas will primarily become public gardens open to local residents to ensure maximum access to common areas and permeability between the new building and the neighborhood.

There were two Conferences of services for the purpose of issuing the authorization. It is being issued the Building permit. It has been completed the first phase of the work of environmental remediation, demolition and excavation. The second phase of demolition, excavation and construction work will start immediately after the release of the Building permit.

The residence will be active from September 2017.

L’edificio è stato formalmente inaugurato il giorno 14 maggio, e sono in corso di completamento le finiture e le predisposizioni per gli allestimenti.

LECCO CAMPUS, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, MANAGEMENT AND SHARING OF A NEW BUILDING HOUSING RESEARCH LABORATORIES The site works for the new building continue and have reached about 85% completion (comprehensive of a start-up phase).The building was formally opened on May 14th, and are being made all the finishes and predispositions for the equipments.

The building will be handed over in summer 2015

Il nuovo spazio sarà ubicato in cortile nella zona che collega la Sala Consiglio e l’area break e si tratterà di una struttura in acciaio e vetro di 200 mq, aperta sul cortile, riscal-data e condizionata.

I lavori sono stati consegnati lo scorso 24 Aprile e sono in corso di esecuzione.

MILANO BOVISA CAMPUS, VIA LA MASA, BUILDING 26, D.I.G. (COMMERCIAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT): NEW MULTIFUNCTIONAL AREAThe new Multifunctional Area responds to the need to expand the existing area and optimize its use, creating spaces for:- catering services for large crowds even in winter;- hosting exhibitions, meetings and conferences;- providing space for the S.O.M. (School of Management) to heat and eat daily meals.

The new area will be located in the courtyard between the existing recreation area and the Council Hall, and will be a 200 square meter steel and glass structure open onto the courtyard, with heating and air conditioning.

The work was delivered last April 24 and are in progress..


PIANO RISTRUTTURAZIONE E RAFFRESCAMENTO AULE CAMPUS LEONARDO - EDIFICIO 3Nell’ambito del piano di riqualificazione delle aule del campus Leonardo, nel 2015 verranno riqualificati altri spazi c/o edificio 3 siti al piano primo, che si sono liberati a seguito del trasferimento del DASTU, per creare n°2 aule didattiche e n°1 aula corsi. L’intervento prevede la ristrutturazione completa degli spazi secondo il nuovo layout funzionale, e comprende il miglioramento dell’involucro, la realizzazione di tutta la nuova impiantistica e il rifacimento delle finiture, dell’arredo e dei tendaggi.

Il progetto ha ottenuto l’approvazione della soprintendenza.

Sono in corso i lavori propedeutici all’avvio dei lavori che dovrebbero concludersi nel mese di ottobre 2015.

LEONARDO CAMPUS CLASSROOM RESTORATION AND CONDITIONING PLAN - BUILDING 3As part of the Leonardo Campus classroom restoration plan, 2015 will see the resto-ration of more rooms on the first floor of Building 3. These became free following the transfer of DASTU, creating n° 2 classrooms and n°1 lecture room. The works include the complete restoration of the spaces to provide a new functional layout, as well as improvements to the shell, the installation of new plants, new finishes, furnishings and window blinds.

The works were approved by the Soprintendenza authorities.

Preparatory works are in progress, the intervention should be concluded in October 2015.





SEDE DI MILANO BOVISA, VIA LA MASA, REALIZZAZIONE DI UN NUOVO LABORATORIO ERC CREA DEL DIPARTIMENTO DI AEROSPAZIALE/ENERGIA E AMPLIAMENTO SPLAB

Il laboratorio CREA (Compressible-fluid dynamics for Renewable Energy Applications) ospiterà le attività sperimentali del progetto ERC Consolidator 2013 NSHOCK, PI Prof. Alberto Guardone (2014-2019). Al laboratorio partecipa personale del Diparti-mento di Scienze e Tecnologie Aerospaziali e del Dipartimento di Energia.Nell’ambito del progetto, è prevista la realizzazione di una galleria del vento per fluidi organici (modifica dell’attuale TROVA, Test-Rig for Organic VApour, attualmente operante presso il laboratorio LFM del Dipartimento di Energia), di un impianto di distillazione dei fluidi silossani e di un apparato per la misura della velocità del suono di molecole complesse in condizioni prossime alla saturazione liquido-vapore.

I volumi e i servizi necessari al laboratorio sono identificati nel Grant Agreement stipulato dall’Ateneo con l’European Research Council nel Febbraio del 2014. I lavori previsti nel capitolato in discussione si rendono necessari per adeguare e ampliare le volumetrie dell’edificio B16A per raggiungere quelle indicate nel Grant Agreement. Nel Grant Agreement è indicata come data di fine lavori il Marzo 2015, da cui il carattere di urgenza della richiesta in discussione.

SEDE DI MILANO BOVISA, VIA LA MASA, CREATION OF A NEW LABORATORY ERC CREA FOR THE THE AEROSPACE/ENERGY DEPARTMENT, AND SPLAB EXTENSION

The CREA lab (Compressible-fluid dynamics for Renewable Energy Applications) will host the sperimental activities of ERC Consolidator 2013 NSHOCK project, Pl Prof. Alberto Guardone (2014-2019). The personnel of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology and of the Department of Energy will partecipate to the lab. Under the project, the construction of a wind tunnel for organic fluids (change of current TROVA, Test-Rig for Organic VApour, currently working at the LFM laboratory of the Department of Energy), a distillation of siloxane fluids and an apparatus for the measurement of sound speed of complex molecules under conditions close to the liquid-vapor saturation.

Volumes and necessary facilities for the lab are identified in the Grant Agreement signed by the University with the European Research Council in February 2014. The works provided for in this contract are necessary in order to adapt and expand the volumes of the building B16A to reach those indicated in the Grant Agreement. In the Grant Agreement the work end date is indicated in March 2015, hence the urgency of the request’s character.

RIQUALIFICAZIONE PIAZZA LEONARDO DA VINCILa trasformazione di Piazza Leonardo da Vinci ha come obiettivo la creazione di uno spazio accogliente e dinamico per la città e per tutti gli utenti del Politecnico, che ospiti e faciliti la realizzazione di attività qualitativamente significative.

RESTORATION OF PIAZZA LEONARDO DA VINCIThe aim of the transformation of Piazza Leonardo da Vinci is to create a friendly yet dynamic space for the city, as well as for all the users of the Polytechnic, designed to accommodate and encourage qualitatively meaningful initiatives.

The interventions lead by the Politecnico consist of the construction of new architectu-ral designed flooring, made of washed concrete with visible gravel and stone inserts (keeping the historic geometry of surfaces with the preservation of the existing curbs), in the enlargement of the green areas, removing the existing sideways, and in the creation of equipped areas (gardening excluded).

Il degrado riscontrato, oltre a risultare dannoso per il decoro e la conservazione degli elementi architettonici, comporta un rischio di distacco di intonaci e materiali cementizi con conseguente pericolo per cose e persone che dovessero transitare al di sotto dei passaggi in oggetto. L’intervento, esteso a tutti gli elementi cementizi che costituiscono i camminamenti, avrà la scopo di riportare gli elementi interessati ad adeguati livelli di conservazione e decoro.

I lavori sono iniziati all’inizio del mese di Luglio.

BONARDI CAMPUS, BUILDING 11,GALLERIES AND STAIRS RESTORATION

The intervention is aimed at restoring the conditions of technical and architectural features of the walkways, currently undergoing degradation caused primarily by exposure to atmospheric agents.The degradation, in addition to be detrimental to the decoration and the preser-vation of the architectural elements, involves a risk of detachment of plaster and cementitious materials with consequent danger to things and people that were passing below the steps. The intervention, extended to all the elements that constitute the cement walkways, will aim to bring the items interested in adequate levels of maintenance and deco-ration.

Works started in early July.

The project consist of the total demolition of the existing double staircase, located on the classroom side of the building on via Ponzio, and the construction of a new stairway.

The works form part of the Fire Safety and improvement projects, required to meet current standards, planned by the Board of Governors to increase the safety of the buildings.




SEDE MILANO CITTÀ STUDI - RIASSETTO COMPLESSIVO DIPARTIMENTO DI CHIMICA, MATERIALI E INGEGNERIA CHIMICAIl Consiglio di Amministrazione di dicembre 2014 ha approvato il progetto preliminare di realizzazione di un nuovo edificio da realizzare presso il Campus Bassini destinato al Dipartimento di Chimica. Il nuovo Edificio conterrà prevalentemente laboratori di tipo chimico pesanti e leggeri ed avrà configurazione, struttura ed impiantistica adeguate alle moderne condizioni di ricerca e di didattica ed alle normative vigenti. L’edificio avrà cinque elevazioni fuori terra di cui l’ultima prevalentemente destinata ad ospitare locali tecnici. Un corpo di dimensioni più piccole sarà destinato ad uffici dipartimentali a supporto dei laboratori.

Il Consiglio di dicembre 2014 ha approvato inoltre lo studio di fattibilità relativo alla ristrutturazione di due piani della torre nord dell’Edificio 6 del Campus Leonardo. I due piani saranno destinati ad ospitare prevalentemente laboratori chimici di tipo leg-gero, cioè con basso utilizzo di sostanze pericolose. La ristrutturazione non compren-derà l’impianto di distribuzione dell’aria e la sostituzione delle finestre e il rifacimento dell’impianto elevatore che verranno effettuati in sede di ristrutturazione dell’intera torre. Verranno inoltre acquistate le attrezzature tecniche necessarie ad allestire i laboratori dei due piani.

MILANO CITTÀ STUDI CAMPUS - TOTAL REORGANISATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY, MATERIALS AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERINGIn December 2014, the Board of Governors approved the preliminary project for the construction of a new building on the Bassini Campus for the Department of Chemistry. The new building will principally contain heavy and light chemical laboratories and will have a configuration, structure and plant/equipment suitable for modern research and teaching as well as complying with current standards. The building will have five floors above ground level, the top floor being used mainly to house the plant rooms. A smaller building will house the departmental offices supporting the laboratories.

In December 2014, the Board also approved a feasibility study for the restoration of two floors of the north tower of Building 6 on the Leonardo Campus. These two floors will be destined to house prevalently light chemical laboratories, i.e. involving minimum use of hazardous substances. The restoration work will not include the air conditioning plant, replacement of the windows or renewal of the lift system, all of which will be carried out when the entire tower is restored. In addition, the technical equipment necessary to fit-out the laboratories on both floors will also be purchased.

Il Consiglio di Amministrazione del dicembre del 2014 ha approvato il progetto preliminare ed il lavoro è inserito nell’elenco anuale 2015.Il lavoro prevede l’adeguamento funzionale degli spazi del piano terra alle mutate esigenze di ricerca e di didattica del Dipartimento E.I.B.. Verrà realizzato un amplia-mento mediante un piano ammezzato parziale del corpo nord denominato “ex Sala Alte Tensioni”. Gli spazi e gli impianti saranno messi a norma. Saranno rinnovate tutte le finiture. L’intervento, per questioni logistiche è stato abbinato con la messa a norma del corpo sud destinato ad aule mediante la realizzazione di nuovi collegamenti verticali esterni (scala ed ascensore).Il progetto è stato approvato dalla Soprintendenza e presentato ai Vigili del Fuoco.

E’ in fase di stesura il progetto esecutivo.

MILANO CITTÀ STUDI CAMPUS, PIAZZA LEONARDO DA VINCI, BUILDING 7 EX ELECTROTECHNICS, RESTORATION AND FUNCTIONAL RESTRUCTURING OF THE MEZZANINE FLOOR OF THE BUILDING

In December 2014, the Board of Governors approved the preliminary project which was added to the annual list for 2015.The works consist of the functional updating of the rooms on the ground floor to meet the teaching and research requirements of the E.I.B. Department . A partial mezzanine floor will form an addition to the northern part known as the “ex Sala Alte Tensioni” (ex High Voltage Room). The rooms and equipment will be upgraded to comply with current standards. All the finishes will be renewed. For logistic reasons, the works have been combined with the upgrading of the south part of the building to comply with current standards through the addition of a new external stairway and lifts.The project has been approved by the “Soprintendenza” authorities and submitted to the Fire Service.

The executive project is currently being prepared.

L’intervento consiste nella ristrutturazione e recupero funzionale degli spazi dei piani rialzato e primo a seguito del trasfe-rimento della sezione strade del DICA all’edificio 4 del Campus Leonardo.Nell’attesa di definire chi saranno i nuovi fruitori degli spazi si è dilazionato il budget necessario per l’intervento negli anni 2015 e 2016. A seguito della redazione dello studio di fattibilità, e della determinazione degli importi necessari alla realizzazione dell’intervento, per l’anno 2015 si programma l’avvio dell’iter per la ristrutturazione del piano primo.

RISTRUTTURAZIONE DEI LOCALI AL PIANO PRIMO DELL’ED. 11 DEL C. BONARDI E RIORGANIZZAZIONE DEI RESTANTI SPAZI DELL’ATTUALE BCAA seguito delle mutate esigenze derivanti dalla riorganizzazione interna della Biblioteca Centrale di Architettura, è stata rivista la ridistribuzione degli spazi della biblioteca stessa posti al piano terra dell’edificio 11 per ampliare gli uffici Amministrativi a servizio della medesima.

Il progetto attuale prevede la riqualificazione funzionale della attuale Sala Guernica con la formazione di appositi spazi di accoglienza e consultazione destinati ad ospitare le novità in arrivo messe a disposizione del pubblico per una rapida e agevole consultazione. Completa la realizzazione dell’allestimento un nuovo soppalco destinato ad accogliere nuovi posti studio in sostituzione a quelli ceduti per la realizzazione dello spazio accoglienza e consultazione.

Attualmente è in fase di sviluppo il progetto esecutivo.

Si prevede che, espletate le procedure di affidamento, i lavori possano iniziare nel mese di dicembre 2015.

RESTORATION OF ROOMS ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF BUILDING 11 OF THE BONARDI CAMPUS AND REORGANISATION OF THE REMAINING SPACES OF THE CURRENT BCAFollowing a change in requirements deriving from the internal reorganisation of the Central Architecture Library (Biblioteca Centrale di Architettura), the redistribution of the library space on the ground floor of Building 11 was re-examined with a view to extending the library’s Administration offices.

The current project includes the functional updating of “Sala Guernica” with a reception area and consulting rooms, designed to display new ideas, innovations, news, etc., made available to the public for quick and easy consultation. The project will be completed with the construction of a new mezzanine floor designed to house new study workspaces to replace those eliminated by the new reception and consulting rooms.

The executive project is currently being developed.

Once the contracts have been awarded, the work can start in December 2015.

RESIDENZA UNIVERSITARIA “CASA DELLO STUDENTE”: NUOVA COSTRUZIONE IMPIANTI SPORTIVI E DI SERVIZIO PRESSO L’AREA DEL CS GIURIATIIl progetto prevede la realizzazione di una nuova palazzina servizi / student hub, a supporto delle attività del centro sportivo Giuriati, e un campo polivalente coperto, oltre alla sistemazione degli spazi aperti adiacenti a verde e parcheggio.

A seguito dei confronti con l’Amministrazione l’Area Tecnico Edilizia ha avviato un confronto tecnico con l’appaltatore e con il Miur per verificare la possibilità di realiz-zare un diverso progetto che rispecchi le mutate esigenze dell’Ateneo.

Sono state eseguite le demolizioni e le bonifiche ambientali / belliche e sono attual-mente in corso i lavori di scavo delle fondazioni del nuovo edificio.

“CASA DELLO STUDENTE” STUDENT RESIDENCE: BUILDING OF A NEW SPORT AND SERVICE SITE IN THE GIURIATI SPORT CENTER AREAThe project involves the construction of a new service building / student hub, to support the activities of the sports center Giuriati, and a multipurpose covered playing field, in addition to the arrangement of adjacent open spaces to green and parking.

Following comparisons with the Administration, Area Tecnico Edilizia has started a technical comparison with the contractor and with the Ministry of Education to verify the possibility of a different project that reflects the changing needs of the University.

It has already been performed the demolitions and the environmental/military reme-diations, and are currently ongoing the foundation excavations of the new buildings





COSTRUZIONE, RISTRUTTURAZIONE E RECUPERO DI UNA RESIDENZA UNIVERSITARIA, PISCINA COPERTA E SCOPERTA E SERVIZI ANNESSI PRESSO L’AREA DELLA PISCINA COMUNALE “GUIDO ROMANO” VIA G. PONZIO - MILANO

Il complesso immobiliare oggetto d’intervento, interamente di proprietà del Comune, è costituito dal centro balneare “Guido Romano”, da una zona a verde pubblico attrezzato e da un complesso edificato ad un piano, prospettante su via Ampère, destinato in parte a spogliatoi e locali magazzino asserviti al centro balneare, e in parte a libreria.L’area nel suo complesso è stata urbanizzata e insediata nei primi decenni del secolo scorso, ed è stata successivamente, ed a più riprese, oggetto di interventi di adeguamento e potenziamento delle attrezzature e servizi esistenti.Cogliendo l’opportunità fornita dal c.d. “terzo bando” della Legge 338/2000, nel 2011 il Politecnico ha proposto al Comune la realizzazione di una residenza universitaria all’interno del complesso del centro balneare Romano. Il progetto iniziale, che prevedeva la demolizione integrale e ricostruzione degli attuali immobili prospicienti via Ampère, fu dichiarato meritevole di cofinanziamento da parte del MIUR. Successivamente alla presentazione del progetto e della relativa doman-da di cofinanziamento, e a fronte del vincolo di tutela apposto sull’area da parte della Direzione Regionale per i Beni Culturali e Paesaggistici della Lombardia, il Politecnico, in accordo con il Comune, ha provveduto a rivedere il progetto, individuando diverse soluzioni alternative atte a coniugare lo stesso rispetto le esigenze di tutela architettonica e del paesaggio, alle esigenze delle rappresentanze della zona 3 e del Comune.Attraverso la realizzazione dell’intervento cofinanziato dal MIUR sarà possibile realizzare una residenza universitaria di 84 posti alloggio, prevalentemente da destinare a studenti capaci, meritevoli e privi di mezzi, visiting professor e dottorandi. L’intervento consente anche di cofinanziare parte degli interventi relativi alle funzioni di supporto alla residenza, tra cui la mensa e l’impianto natatorio, quest’ultimo annoverato tra gli “spazi fitness” previsti dai decreti attuativi della L. 338/2000. La realizzazione dell’intervento consentirebbe inoltre di realizzare una “cerniera” tra il centro balenare e i restanti servizi, condivisibili con la città, presenti all’interno del limitrofo campus universitario, quali ad esempio le biblioteche, gli spazi di studio e lettura collettivi, l’accesso alle reti wi-fi dell’università.L’accordo sottoscritto tra il Comune di Milano e il Politecnico ha dato vita ad un partenariato pubblico-pubblico prodromico alla realizzazione dell’iniziativa. Attualmente sono in corso le attività di progettazione e predisposizione degli studi e dei documenti per bandire la procedura per l’affidamento del contratto per la realizzazione degli interventi. Quest’ultimo sarà riconducibile al partenariato pubblico-privato e prevederà, tra l’altro, l’apporto di capitali privati.

CONSTRUCTION, RESTORATION AND RENOVATION OF A UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE, INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES AT THE “GUIDO ROMANO” PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL IN VIA G. PONZIO - MILANOThe building complex involved in the works is fully owned by the City of Milan and consists of the “Guido Romano” swimming pool, an equipped public garden area and a single storey building complex overlooking via Ampère. The building complex will include changing rooms and storage areas serving the pool and, in part, a library.The area as a whole was urbanised and established during the first decades of last century and since then has, on several occasions, been updated and improved as regards equipment and services.In 2011, taking advantage of the opportunities provided by the so-called “terzo bando” (third procedure) of Law 338/2000, the Polytechnic made a proposal to the City for the realisation of a university residence within the Romano swimming pool complex. The first project, which included the total demolition and reconstruction of the current buildings overlooking via Ampère, was declared worthy of co-financing by MIUR. Following the presentation of the project and the relative application for co-financing, and in view of the protected area status declared by the Regional Offices for Cultural Heritage and Landscapes of Lombardy, the Polytechnic, in agreement with the City of Milan, reviewed the project and identified a number of alternative solutions able to respect the architectural and landscape heritage and well as the needs of the representatives of zone 3 and the City.Through co-financing the project with MIUR, the polytechnic will be able to build a university residence to house 84 people, mainly talented worthy students without transport, visiting professors and PhD students. The project also allows co-financing of works designed to provide support functions for the residence, such as a canteen and swimming pool; this latter being part of the “fitness spaces” provided for by the Law 338/2000 implementation decrees. The realisation of the project will also provide a “link” between the swimming pool and the other services within the university campus that can be shared with the city, for example the libraries, study workspaces and collective reading rooms, access to the university’s wi-fi networks.The agreement between the City of Milan and the Polytechnic has given life to a symptomatic public-public partnership in the realisation of the initiative. The design activities are currently being carried out and the relevant studies and documents for the tender procedure required prior to awarding the contract are being prepared. The contract will be in the form of a public-private partnership and will, amongst other things, include a contributions of capital from the private sector.

MANTOVA CAMPUSWork is necessary which can no longer be put off to a future date, including:- upgrading of three washrooms serving three classrooms and offices;- demolition of architectural barriers at the entrance of certain classrooms and the courtyard known as “Cortile dei Gelsi”;- sewerage maintenance in the inner courtyard known as “Cortile del Pozzo”;- replacement of a number of doors and windows.

Saranno realizzati degli interventi sulle coperture, sui pluviali e sulle linee fognarie dell’edificio “Ex Macello”.

Sono attualmente in corso le lavorazioni di rincorsa del tetto dell’edificio ex “Caserma della Neve” per risolvere infiltra-zioni d’acqua sopravvenute nelle aule didattiche.

Sono inoltre da completare gli interventi programmati post sisma, che non compromettono la sicurezza del luogo.

PIACENZA CAMPUSThe Piacenza campus will be the subject of extraordinary maintenance works linked to ensuring safety on the campus. Extraordinary maintenance will also be carried out to eliminate damp in the basement classrooms and laboratories.

Other necessary works will be carried out on the roof, downpipes and on the sewers of the “Ex Macello” building.

They are ongoing processes to run the roof of the former “Caserma della Neve” to solve water infiltration arisen in the classrooms.

Also are to complete planned post-earthquake interventions, which do not compromise the safety of the place.
