Aronde
� �e typeface family Aronde is the result of a nine month �udy during the MA programme in Typeface Design at the University of Reading, UK. �e Aronde family provides a variety of weights (regular, bold and italic) to enable more design possibilities for children's books, magazines, catalogues or packaging. With nice, fluent curves and modulated �rokes, Aronde commu-nicates a very friendly feel in the Latin as well as in the �ai script. Aronde will be expanded in the near future.

nnnกMetrics correlation between Latin and Thai
�e particularity of the �ai script is to have a higher x-height than the Latin but the problem is that �ai letters can have double diacritics above. Consequently, �ai letters need a bigger space above. To match them, I first defined the �ai and then adapted the Latin to this scale.
Terminals
�e terminals are round with a cut, defining the font as a semi-serif with the feeling of a brush. �e angle of the cut varies from regular to italic to give more speed and dynamic ending. For the �ai terminals, this choice came from a study of frequently used �ai fonts such as Sukothai or Adobe �ai.
Counter
�e counters are more open to improve legibility, especially in the �ai.
Particularity
�e straight strokes are curved to make it less rigid. For the italic, the stress is emphasize to give more speed to the letters.

Qui a peur du grand méchant loup?
Il était une fois un Bûcheron et une Bûcheronne qui avaient sept en-fants tous Garçons. L'aîné n'avait que dix ans, et le plus jeune n'en avait que sept. On s'étonnera que le Bûcheron ait eu tant d'enfants en si peu de temps; mais c'est que sa femme allait vite en besogne, et n'en faisait pas moins que deux à la fois. Ils étaient fort pauvres, et leurs sept enfants les incommodaient beaucoup, parce qu'aucun d'eux ne pouvait encore gagner sa vie. Ce qui les chagrinait encore, c'est que le plus jeune était fort délicat et ne disait mot: prenant pour bêtise ce qui était une marque de la bonté de son esprit. Il était fort petit, et quand il vint au monde, il n'était guère plus gros que le pouce, ce qui fit que l'on l'appela le petit Poucet. Ce pauvre enfant était le souffre-douleur de la maison, et on lui donnait toujours le tort. Cependant il était le plus fin, et le plus avisé de tous ses frères, et s'il parlait peu, il écoutait beaucoup. Il vint une année très fâcheuse, et la famine fut si grande, que ces pauvres gens résolurent de se défaire
