Welcome one and all to the Explorer Museum! As you can see my founder and his wifesportraits are already hanging in the entrance hall. But why is the wifes face hidden? Is shehideously ugly? Is she camera shy? Who is she? Only time will tellonward!

So Epic begins his excursion in Motherland by digging in the dirt. Why you might ask? Well seehes dirt poor and I was hoping he could find a treasure chest since Im not letting him get ajob.

And because someone hid the key to my shack somewhere on this HUGE lot and now Im stucklooking for it.

Sorry, I have a pretty hands off policy. You sims need to learn to do things for yourself. Oh andthe other residents wouldnt like it if I helped you. Theyd be jealous. Think about it I mean if Ihelp you then theyll all want me to do stuff for them.

Poor Epic had no luck catching anything to eat and no luck finding his house key. So heheaded into town to grab something to eat. Plus he was freezing!

Harvey took him to a table in the middle of the room. As he sat there he noticed a woman

with brown hair behind him appeared to be watching him. Except every time Epic turnedaround she quickly turned away. Well that was great. Just what he needed a fangirl.

Harvey soon brought him a glass of water and a burger. Compliments of Mr. Straight,dear.

Now who was Mr. Straight. Hadnt Ben already told him there was an eat only what youcatch or earn for yourself rule around here. Not that he was complaining. He wasSTARVING!

Yep, but you can call me Gabe. the other responded. You look like you were having a bad day. I went aheadand spoke to Harvey for you. Sorry bout some of the manners around here. Im afraid a lot of the residents dontmuch care for your kind.

CAS or legacy sims. Some townies and NPCs think theyre better than you because we dont age. But reallymost are just jealous because well you have houses and access to super-powerful simselves and we dont. Of

course theyll deny such things if confronted.

After the meal, Epic and Gabe headed over to play a game of pool. Theyd only started when the brown hairedtownie joined them. She smiled sweetly, but Epic detected the contempt in her voice as she spoke. The newest

resident of Motherland. So did you enjoy your lunch?

Gabe cleared his throat. Brandi.

What cant a girl say hello? You did a lot more than that Gabe. What do you think Goopy will say once he hearsyour giving out hand-outs again.

Actually Miss BrandiGabe simply asked Harvey to serve me the burger. I pay for my own meals. Im not afreeloader. Epic certainly didnt want to get Gabe into trouble with the rest of his kind and he really wasnt afreeloader.

Ohmy mistake.

Epic left immediately following his game of pool with Brandi and Gabe. The

downtownie bowed low to Brandi as he spoke his farewell his voice full of sarcasm,It was so lovely to see you again, Brandi. I just love it when you poke your nosein my business.

Brandi scowled, We dont need the likes of him here. I bet the idiot hasnt foundhis key yet. She let out a triumphant laugh. And those simselves arent going tohelp himnot that they could. Well ta ta. With a swagger in her hips she exitedthe diner clearly tickled pink.

After leaving Reds Diner, Epic couldnt bring himself to head home. It wasnt like hecould get inside anyway. Hed dug up every inch of the place and hadnt found his key.Why Mystery had decided to plop him into Motherland in the middle of winter hednever understand. As if this wasnt hard enough already. Now the snow was comingdown in droves. He flung his arm back and sent the ball in his hand crashing angrilydown toward the pins. He needed to take the days frustrations out on something,might as well be a set of inanimate bowling pins.

Gabe had gone home and had tried to forget about his run-in with Brandi. He couldnt stand that

woman! Hed been putting up with her manipulation for years and it drove him crazy. Once again,Brandi had escaped punishment. Hed reported that shed taken Epics key and hidden it to GoopyGilsCarbo. Brandi had then plastered that stupid smile on her face and giggled, Its all just for funGoopy. You know a little bit of hazing. And I didnt bury it or throw it in the lake. I just placed itnext to that bush by the road. Hell find it soon Im sure. Then shed started crying when hed triedto push a confession out of her!

And Goopy had bought the act! Again. Hed strictly told Gabe to let it go. And he actually tried to

force Gabe to apologize to that wench. But Gabe had refused and stormed out. And Gabe certainlyhad no intentions to just let this matter go.

sold me out last week to Goopy. So tell me, did Brandi pay you for your efforts?

Rick stood in stony silence. He had sold Gabe out to the townie council and worse he hadntbeen paid for it. Hed given Brandi proof that Gabe had been helping Pre-mades and CAS simsby giving them a very expensive welcoming gift. Goopy had told Gabe to stop and exiled him toDowntown for the remainder of winter, but somehow the sims were still getting that expensivecomputer. And here Gabe was breaking Goopys ruling that he stay out of Motherland until theSpring.

Okay Gabe time for you to leave.Nope. Not until I find that key to this house. But hey you want to go piss off theboss and tell her how you failed to notice me getting into your town undetected goright ahead. Im sure Brandi will just love that.

Rick mumbled something under his breath, but did nothing to stop Gabes search.

And there it was! Gabe grinned in triumph as he pulled the key out of the snow.

Okay you found the stupid key. Now get lost.

Sure, sure. Im leaving. Enjoy your just desserts, Rick. He dropped the key in themailbox and attached a note to the front of Epics door. As he started down thesidewalk he called back over his shoulder, Oh and Rick? If Epic doesnt answer thephone tomorrow when I callwell lets just say I can make life much more difficult for

you.

It turned out Rick was more afraid of Gabe than Brandi finding out because thenext morning found Epic was safely inside his shack. So you found the key CAS?

No, actually. Someone left it in my mailbox. He had a good feeling he knew who itwas too. The other man only confirmed his suspicions a moment later.

Guess there are some good folk left in this town after all huh.

Epic smirked and played along, Must be.

While Epic was settling into life in Motherland, Brandi was up to one of her favoritepastimes gossiping with Kennedy in the middle of a borrowed house. Can you believethis Chester guy? Hes incredibly stupid.

Brandi giggled, I know, but hey at least we get free meals and a roof over our headduring these storms.

Guess pre-mades have a few uses.

Oh hi Ben! Brandi straightened up quickly once her friend entered the room. Forsome reason, Ben seemed to have developed a bit of a soft spot for this ChesterGeike. And hed nearly gotten her into real trouble with Goopy over the keyincident. But of course, shed found a way to get herself out of trouble. She smiledat the thought of her sheer brilliance.

Brandis fists were clenched by her side and her eyes were blazing. As Christy shot her atriumphant look she gritted her teeth. She kept her tone even though as she spoke, Iknow dearie. But Goopy, wellhe feelsand the whole council agrees.that is to say wedont want to overstay our welcome and take advantage of your generosity.

Epic headed home after Gem scared him off and changed into his PJs. He liked to walkaround the house that way. Hey it was comfy!

Now that Spring had finally arrived, he was reflecting on the events of his life. He and

Ben had taken up fishing regularly. Bens good friend Sandy Bruty was also an avidfisherwoman and often joined them.

Sandy Bruty. That was why hed gone over to Headquarters to tell Mystery hedfound the woman he wanted to marry. She was smart, beautiful, fun-loving.

Everything he wanted in a girl.

It had been love at first sight. Epic had spent as much of his free-time with Sandy that he

could. It wasnt easy to get her alone though with Ben tagging along at every turn. Ben wasa nice guy, but sometimes he could be out of it.

Now that it was Spring in Motherland, the couple could spend more time outsideof Epics cramped shack. They found one of their favorite stops was the localpark.

Oh yes, Epic was definitely in love. He could barely contain his excitement. Hedfinally waited long enough to ask someone to join his quest as per Mysterys rules.

Ugh, who keeps throwing these boots in here!

But once again, Ben had put a cramp in his style. He knew who was having the boots throwninto his lake, but naturally he couldnt prove it was her. Brandi was a crafty little shrew, but shedslip up eventually. So for now, Epic just did like Mystery suggested and ignored her.

Finally! Epic was able to get Sandy alone. He thought Ben would never need to go tothe bathroom. The man could certainly drink a lot of coffee.

Sandy Bruty will you marry me?

Not wanting to waste anymore time, Epic and Sandy said their I dos. No

wedding party or anything. But maybe the other reason was that Epic justdidnt want a stalkerish simself at his house on his wedding day.

So that concludes part one. With Sandys money and the junk in her inventory I was

able to expand the shack into a proper little house. She had to quit her job, since Imhaving this generation earn money the hard way. Just wanted to shake up my playstyle a bit. Future generations will be able to work, just not this one. And so fargeneration one hasnt gone too badly. I mean considering Ive got an extremelyprejudiced townie, a clueless townie, a nave pre-made, and a simself fangirl hangingaround the hood Id say were off to a great start! Thanks for reading!
