I had the opportunity to stay aboard the Sea Pepper, picture above, with. I stayed with a very dear friend and fellow boat enthusiast, Geoff. We brought with us an ice chest full of groceries, our bathing suits, and beach clothes. We wanted to stay in and cook, but it is not necessary to bring groceries since there are so any nice restaurants along the marina including my personal favorite, Parker’s Lighthouse, located within view from the yacht. After unloading all of our stuff, there was nothing left to worry about besides deciding who was going to be captain and who would be first mate!

Boat and Bed, is owned by Rob Harris ,but the Boat and Bed location in Long Beach is owned by his daughter Kim and her husband Kent. This family started their business in the 90’s and has two other locations in Oakland, California. This family enjoys sharing their love for the water and say that it keeps them close to each other sharing their hoppy and running an operation.

Since Boat and Bed’s yachts do not leave the harbor, there is no need to worry about not having boating experience.
