What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial Intelligence is defined as: Computer systems able to perform tasks normally
requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.
Such systems have many advantages over humans which make them desirable in industry:
The ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
Can deal with large quantities of data much quicker
Information does not have to be in human readable form
Can operate in dangerous environments.
