Welcome to the ‘Southport Contemporary Arts’ 6th Annual Arts Trail

Our aim, as in previous years, is to celebrate the arts community in which we live and work, that makes such a valuable contribution to the cultural life of our community.Each year the event grows and develops its own personality, but the cause remains constant; to build the creative voice of our community, showcase the artistic and creative presence and make it easily accessible to the wider community.

The public, we know, respond enthusiastically to the opportunity to visit and talk to artists and makers, and get involved in workshops and live entertainment. We also believe that visitors to Southport, enjoy the opportunity to experience more of the town and its talented community, as well as its fabulous natural environment, and we're conÞdent that 2015 event will, once again, add to Southport's unique identity.

We are very grateful to all who support the Arts Trail, both individuals as well as business's, and organisations who have made huge efforts to make this a truly joined up creative event.We would also like to thank the Southport BID who, this year, have leant their support to the event.

This year's event will feature the Makers Craft Fair, Musical Performances, Exhibitions and sales of work including Painting, Textiles and Photography, Craft Makers and Artists Workshops and Demonstrations, Poetry and Writing Performance, Family Interactive Drawing and Making, Open Studios, and Competitions. We hope that everyone will Þnd something that inspires them to support and get involved with, the talented creative community of Southport.
