SCHOOL COUNCIL CLEANS UP!

The whole school council came together to clean up our nature trail. The children gave up their afternoons and filled over 4 bin bags full of rubbish! Please make sure you place any rubbish in the bins around the school and help keep our community tidy.

LANGUAGES DAY Four girls from Years 3 and 4 had the chance to attend a Languages Day at Portsmouth High school. During this visit, the girls learnt about the Chinese, French and the Spanish revolution. They interpreted these events through singing, dancing and painting.

BUTTERFLIES!

Year 5 have had an exciting couple of weeks with their Butterfly Habitats as part of their science unit, Living Things and Their Habitats. The children have witnessed the real life cycle that they would otherwise have to look at through a computer screen or a text book. Each class has done a marvellous job of ensuring that each tiny caterpillar has successfully developed into a beautiful adult butterfly; they have now been released into the Arundel Court wild!

Brain teaser! You are running in a street marathon and you overtake the person in 2nd place. What place are you now?

MOONLIT WALK Mrs Fray and some of her family took part in a walking marathon which went through the night. Unbelievably, she walked 26 miles throughout the night to raise money for cancer research. Well done Mrs Fray- you are our hero!

So far Mrs Fray and her family have raised £1457 Great!

STUBBINGTON RESIDENTIAL This term year 3 and 4 went to Stubbington Study Centre for the week. They did everything from pond dipping and orienteering to catching mice (they let them go) and dressing up as Celts. From what the children have said, once again they had a GREAT time! A huge thank you goes out to our staff who joined the children and did over and above their normal hours. Thank you!
