The 2012 vintage is especially promising as it has shown an evening out of numbers among European countries. This shows how the class has established itself and the energy it has generated, creating in Techno 293 OD not just the biggest windsurf fleet, but one of the biggest fleets in the whole worldwide sport of sailing.

It’s little wonder our obsession with windsurfing has led to our selection as official supplier to the Olympic games. In return, we’ve distilled everything we’ve learned in this sport and applied it to one class of rig now identified the world over as RS:X. To ride this sail is to be one step closer to the dais. RS:X is engineered in the same headspace as the RS:RACING sails – as light as possible, and as fast as impossible. Although substantial in volume at 8.5 and 9.5m, RS:X is built for an extraordinary wind range; from 3-30 knots, and it can be comfortably handled by even the lightest riders. The RS:X class has a proprietary NeilPryde mast, boom, board and extensions - ensuring a consistent and complete performance. RS:X: The equipment is standard, it’s the athlete that makes the difference.

RS:One is an exciting, ISAF-approved one design racing class by NeilPryde. One sail, one board – everyone competing on the same equipment. It’s the rider that makes the difference.RS:One comes from the same racing pedigree as the Olympic RS:X and the NeilPryde RS:Racing. The universal one-design class allows male and female racers of all ages to compete on the same equipment. RS:One is a fantastic opportunity for sailing and yachting clubs and federations to organize races and attract newcomers – bringing back the regatta fans to the sport.ISAF council granted the ISAF Class status to the RS:One on 12 November 2011, at the annual ISAF meeting held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This recognition is a great step forward for the worldwide Class growth and will see the first RS:One World Champions at end of 2012.

The Velocity VMG race kite represents the pinnacle of racing efficiency on all points of sail. Developed over an entire season with designer Pat Goodman, Damien Leroy and PKRA World Tour Racing Champion Bryan Lake, the Velocity VMG is podium proven. The Velocity is based on a bow kite plan form for the highest power to drag ratio. Its upwind ability is only matched by its ability to fly on all points of sail off the wind due to its full, powerful profiles. The Velocity features a light weight construction using only 5 micro struts with .06mm TPU bladders and modified panel layout with no dacron and no chafe protectors. Its power production is optimized by keeping the area focused where the arc is flatter and the aerodynamic forces contribute the most towards forward speed.

The Aeroshell is a plastic cover, designed to fit perfectly over some of the Lazer helmets. The Aeroshell snaps into place and protects the riders head from wind and rain while still allowing for some air movement under the front of the helmet and out the rear vents. The Aeroshell is unique in that it is easily removed from the helmet when riding conditions are such that additional ventilation is desired. Snap it on when the rain is pouring down and pull it off when the sun starts to shine, the Aeroshell is the perfect tool to ride, in every possible condition.

Alternatively the Aeroshell provides a significant rise in Aerodynamic performance once it is installed on the helmet. By closing off the ventilation holes, the amount of aerodynamic drag the helmet creates is strongly reduced, resulting in a faster ride.
