Bouchard Livestock Welcomes You Welcome to the 10th Annual Ashworth and Guests Bull Sale. The Ashworth and Tessier families have become two of the bench-mark seedstock operations in the Simmental industry. These folks have strived to source and produce genetics designed to produce beef in an efficient and productive manner both for the purebred and commercial industry. At Ashworth Farm and Ranch, the younger generation is working their way through high school and college and are becoming valuable partners for Kelly and Janice in moving this great family operation to the forefront. As well as adding genetics, they are consigning to major sales and exhibiting at the major shows in Western Canada. The highlight being Grand Champion Bull and Grand Champion Female at Manitoba Fall Fair in 2012. At Shades of the Prairies 2012, they consigned the high-selling female. The Tessier Simmental operation is becoming more under the management of Colin and Kyla. They do as many young familiesdo, combine their work with minor hockey and other family activities. Duane and Susan are starting to enjoy some time in the south and relinquishing the farming duties to the next generation. The bulls on offer for 2013 are the result of this hard work and careful genetic selection. Both of these operations utilize a very elite walking herdbull battery and incorporate the best AI bulls available to the industry today. They have developed an embryo program to maximize the elite genetics. These potential herd sires on offer will enable you to select from a cross-section of Simmental genetics, allowing you to emphasize the traits you are needing. Ashworth Farm & Ranch Welcome to the 10th Annual Ashworth Farm and Ranch & Guest Bull Sale. It doesn’t seem that it was 10 years ago that we decided to start our own sale, but as every one al-ways says time does fly whether you are keeping track or not. We would like to thank all the bidders and buyers from last year’s sale; your confidence in our program is as always greatly appreciated. 2012 was a busy year on the farm and was the first year in 10 years that we once again showed some cattle. We were fortunate to win both Champion Bull and Champion Fe-male at the Manitoba Livestock Expo in Brandon in November. The Lot 1 bull KWA/FLYF Red Mountain was the champion bull and along side his dam KWA MS Rock 14X was Champion Female at the same show and Supreme champion Female over all breeds. We have assembled another solid and uniform set of bulls for our sale once again this year and think that there is a bull that can fit your needs, be it calving ease or performance, Red or Black. I don’t think that anyone can argue that the beef

industry, for the most part, is in a position to enjoy a number of good years making it a good time to add some quality bull power to your herd to take advantage of a strong market into the future. As other years, all bulls 12 months and older will be semen tested. Bulls under 12 months of age will be scrotal measured and tested at a later date. Our bulls are 100% guaranteed and we are not happy until our customers are satisfied. It is good to be working with our great consignors, the Tessiers again this year as well as the sale management team at Bouchard Livestock, our auctioneer Jerry Kanewischer, ringmen Dennis Ericson, Ryan Dorran and Nathan Marin and Bonnie Thompson of Alam-eda Agencies, who will once again be present to supply insurance needs. Bundi was the high selling Black bull at the Lewis Farms 2011 Sale, purchased by ourselves and Mc-Millen Ranching. He is a Superior son out of a Bring It Black cow and is homozygous polled and hetero-zygous black. He sired a very strong set of sons and his daughters look awesome. After watching the job he did for them siring low birth, hairy, big-nutted sons and absolutely beautiful daughters, we bought him back at the age of 7. Still super sound and functional. Should the purchaser fail to settle for his purchase, Bouchard Livestock Ltd reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage, either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale, together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any any cattle will be released. The owers, Bouchard Livestock Ltd. and sale staff have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment and/or who has not made prior credit arrangements prior to the sale with the owners and/or Sale Management.

BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder.DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid.
