Suggestions for giving directions

1. Giving directions is easy when you remember to follow these points.

2. When giving directions you are just giving two sets of instructions.

2.1.“Go To” – you are telling the listener what street to go to or how far to go2.2. “Then” - you are telling the listener what to do when they get (turn

right/left, go straight , on the left/right, etc.)

3. Use easily identifiable landmarks, instead of the amount of time to get to a place. (e.g. street lights, stop signs, parks, police station, schools, cinemas, etc.
