MEANING OF COMMUNICATION‘Communication’This word has been derived from Latin word communis which means to share.Sharing can be done of thoughts,speech,information and many more things in our society, importance of communication is to built mutual understanding between audience.We can formulate and transfer our message through different forms of ways.

DIFFERENT WAYS OF COMMUNICATING

In olden days there were some kind of traditional methods for communication ,such as dove was used for sending messages through one village to others, or in kingdom there used to be a drummer who shouts loudly so that all villagers could be informed. One more way was a horse rider used to inform some villagers and then they pass on information to other village. Like this way we started our communication process ,and now in today’s date we have different sources and mediums to communicate.There are many ways for communication:•Television•Social media•Telecommunication

FUNCTION OF ELEMENTS

Sender-the person who initiates the communication process.Message-it is the idea or emotions which is being transferred from sender to receiver.Encoding-it is the process through which message is being symbolized.Channel-it is the medium through which message is being transferred.

Receiver- it is the entity of receiving messages.Decoding-the process in which coded messages is being broke in form of simple messages.Feedback-the response from receiver is known as feedback.Noise-unwanted voice is known as noise.

VERBAL COMMUNICATIONMode of communication in which verbal sound or “voice “ can be heard.Negativity of this mode is we can’t express our body language.We can’t represent signs and symbols.Positivity of this communication is that we could hear or discuss on topics through verbal communication.

NON VERBAL COMMUNICATIONMode of communication in which voice cant be heard.Physical appearances are very important in it.Almost 55% receivers observes language of communication. By non verbal communication.In this mode sender use his body movement to communicate with receiver .

WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONIn this mode of communication printed text and writing material is used.We could also say it is one to many way communication.Printed text or written material of newspapers, magazines, Ad's and etc. are good examples to understand this mode of communication

MODERN WAYS OF COMMUNICATION

In today’s date we have different source of communication such as internet, telephone and especially which is very popular for all of us is mobile media.Social media websites such as Facebook,twitter and etc. had succeeded in linking peoples around world and due to this day to day interaction have became possible.Whatsapp very famous mobile application had also did same duty.

Internet the other source of medium of communication and in internet we have facilities of email,chat,video conferencing(Skype, team viewer and etc.softwares are used for this purpose).Television the major source of communication had also contributed equally as same as internet ,and digital media has became a professional job and became an options to make a career in this field.In today’s date print medium have also digitalized for ex:( New York Times ,Washington Press, The Times Of India).

ADVANTAGES OF COMMUNICATION

Communication helps to built mutual understanding ,self confidence ,public speaking , body language and many more positive impacts on us.In organization communication is very important to built and have a good link between employees and officers.To maintain and sustain jobs also communication is required.Hence we could conclude from above that we need to have good communication skills.

IMPACT OF COMMUNICATIONNow a days we could conclude that communication is necessary at much extent and therefore there are many sources for it and they have their own impact too.Due to mass media and communication common audience are benefited by latest updates of world, country, current affairs and schemes made by government.During elections and its campaign we observe exit polls ,live campaigning and many debates.We also get chance to see live parliament sessions ,and all government updates .

While talking of government updates we remember 4 years ago, hunger strike by ‘Anna Hazaare’ had shook MP’s seats in parliament and even in this media had played their important role.During emergency and especially in boforce scandal during 1980’s newspaper named as Indian Express had published articles for 10 running years.Now in today’s date many news channels and even commercial channels such as star plus had initiated promoting social cause, such as Satyamev Jayate and Girl Rising,Aaj Ki Raat Hai Jindagi on Star Plus.Swacch Banega India on NDTV channel .

While going through presentation we understood that communication and mass media plays very important in our day to day life. Stress's best medicine is communicating and entertainment and these both wishes have been fulfilled. Being informed by latest updates ,interaction amongst community and being a part of fourth pillar of our constitution feels us proud, and our personal opinion on media is they are mirror of society.
