• Associate a format sheet to an EPM Report

• The different parts of an EPM Formatting sheet

• Understand how to modify the EPM Formatting sheet

Formatting can be applied in two different ways- Hardcoded within the report

- Dynamically with a Formatting Worksheet

• Hardcoded formatting is lost when a worksheet is expanded or members

are modified

• Dynamic formatting is applied based on a rules defined in a worksheet

and is applied each time a report is refreshed

Dynamic formatting is applied based on a rulesdefined in a worksheet and is applied each time areport is refreshed

• Applied to the report in the Options tab, theworksheet must be in the same workbook

• Used to format Page/Row/Column Headers and thedata grid

• Can not select Apply Dynamic formatting until aformatting worksheet exists in the workbook

- Copy formatting worksheet from SAP deliveredtemplates

- Store a Corporate standard in a the report library forusers to use

• Worksheet contains four distinct formatting sections

Formats data based on hierarchy levels- Based on structure levels (the defined hlevel of a member)

- Based on relative level compared to other members in the worksheet

• Column or Row format can be the priority for the data grid formatting.

• Formatting is only applied if section checkbox is checked


Dimension Member/Property Formatting

Used to format odd and even rows or columns

• Can also format on a specific member\property

• Formatting is only applied if section checkbox is checked


Row and Column Banding



•

Format the Data\Header cell using theformat that is to be applied to the report

• Use section then details what formats are

applied

• To get a dialog box with a list of format

attributes, double-click on the use cell
