  • Level 5 Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diploma in

Management (by blended or distance learning)

  • ATHE Level 5 Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diploma in Management (QCF)

Duration: Flexible (by blended or distance learning) OVERVIEW The ATHE Level 5 in Management is a nationally recognised qualification, which can be studied as a Certificate, Diploma or Extended Diploma. The programme is at the same level of difficulty as a second year undergraduate degree. Assessment is by vocationally relevant assignments, using a range of assessment methods, including written reports and recorded oral presentations. Students who successfully complete the Certificate can progress onto the Diploma or the Extended Diploma. Alternatively, learners completing the Extended Diploma in Management can progress to a specialist management programme in Health and Social Care or Travel and Tourism or the final year of a related UK undergraduate degree or, in the case of the Certificate or Diploma, gain partial exemption for the second year of a related UK undergraduate degree. Students should make their own enquiries about the entry requirements and exemptions for their desired progression route and the college or university they intend to study at before applying for this programme (ETC accepts no responsibility for this, since colleges and universities have different entry and exemption criteria). Students can complete the programme at their own pace and have a choice of studying it via blended learning or distance learning. ATHE is a nationally recognised awarding body, which is regulated by Ofqual and it has articulation agreements with a number of universities (see: http://atheuk.com/progression-routes/). This ensures clear progression routes onto related programmes at universities, depending on the level and size of qualification completed.
